Lovely write. I liked this very much. So glad to see you all writing such to such a good lady. I did not know until Dawn wrote in determining the extent of the situation.

Doing well. The summer gets busy. Had two sets of houseguests, back to back, over the past ten days. The writing is the fist thing that has to get shoved in the back burner when things get hectic. Hugs xxx

I don't think that a tribute could be finer than this one, BG, and every word you have written is probably repeated in some part by everyone who writes a poem for our Brooke. She is and has been for years, IMO, the example we all strive for - encouraging and inspiring, as well as an incredibly talented poet.
You should be extremely pleased with your beautiful free verse, and proud. Your notes will bring her much joy, too, I'm sure. Kudos, Karen. XXOO Dawn

The best line- no rhyme or reason. For one with such heart to be suddenly stricken...there is no rhyme or reason to it. Except for us to give back and show her how much she is loved. I'm sure Brooke will love this poem.

This is a really beautiful dedication and well written...got a nice flow here with rhyme and it's not at all too busy...very heart felt piece. What in the world is going on with Brooke? I do hope she is not too terribly ill.

Brooke's daughter said she has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of MS and is in a nursing facility for treatment. We are praying they can get it under control.

I am also concerned about Brooke- she is such a gifted poetess, and she has been so kind to me-reading and commenting on my work and offering encouragement and valuable suggestions. Her little grandson is the light of her life. He and his mother must be worried also. Do you have any idea what is wrong? I have been praying for Brooke and will continue to do so.

Oh...I am sorry to hear that- but I do hope and pray they will get it under control. Thank you for telling me, so I will know more about what to pray for. Brooke is such a gifted poetess-we want her back in action on FS.
