Very well written poem with great imagery, solid rhythm and perfect rhyme. Good feel of times long passed, fantasy and mystery. A pleasure to read.

Deep magic dwells in fairy dust is a wonderful repeating line. It fits your poem perfectly. Your words take the reader to another place, one of fantasy, a retreat from the real world. You have a smooth poetic form that is musical.

Charcoal mystery and " breathe beneath coats of rust" is a great contrast to fairy dust , one that really gets to the gist of the poem. Beneath the mundane trappings of history and day -to- day life, there is fairy dust. After all, imagination does put everything into motion. Excellent poem!

"Deep magic dwells in fairy dust" Excellent from your poem, Deb. I am just curious of course but do uyou actually believe in Fiarys and Unicorns and the like? I have never known anyone who does...although much is written about them. Your poem is well balanced and interesting to say the least...fun too. Bob

"I do believe in fairies. I do believe I fairies. I do believe in fairies." And unicorns, and dragons, and goblins, and werwolves, and vampires, and ghosts, and a Sherlock Holmes, and PI's name Cleve Hawkins. As long as the storytelling is good, I can travel to other realms in my imagination and encounter them all. Of course, they exist.

Thank you for a fun review, Bob. I appreciate the encouraging comments. I'll drop by and catch up on your story soon. Debi

Hi...wonderful. This could be me, it is. I so love to find my own magic world in the books that become my home for a day or so. I love magic and the thought of a healing touch...of creatures other than us...

So well the poem does touch the realm
Where fairies come with dust to spread
Upon the long and dreary day
Filled with so much little said

The tales of old did spin a spell
That cast the imagination well
Into the world of dreams to share
Becoming the virtues of living with care

Now the world does forget the tales
Most do not read them so well
So the world is lost to strife
Because the virtues are left outside

I love your poetic review. Good point. These old tales usually do have a moral to them and we seem to overlook those lessons in our time. Thank ou for the enjoyable and insightful review.

I really enjoyed the words, and the thought they encourage, that 'Deep magic dwells in fairy dust'. I think we all wish there was magic in the world. The picture you chose is a a great statement.

And when I find I'm all alone
these golden lands become my own.
Close tight my eyes, believe I must.
Deep magic dwells in fairy dust.

I just love those words. They made me smile with
childhood wonder...
I could just imagine if fairy dust were sprinkled
across my bed as a child.

I loved the wonder of this... I can see artwork with it....
inside my head.
Beautiful.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Debi;
-A magically and mystically poem written with a tranquil and serene feeling about fairy dust.
-Good use of enjambment which is the running on of a thought and concepts from one couplet, stanza and line to the next without a syntactical break.
-Rhythmic meter is iambic tetrameter and where the cadence, tempo and timing all were helpful in making the reading clear, fluid and very easy.
-Rhyming was written in couplets and were each rhyming word was contingent to the meaning and concept of each line and therefore making the reading clear, fluid and very easy.
-The imagery was very definitively expressive and vividly descriptive and at times metaphorically imaginative which made the writing very inventive and ingeniously creative.
-Near and notable alliteration's:/"deep magic dwells"/"breathe beneath"/
-Thank you for sharing and posting this and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.

This is an excellent fantasy poem
Very well rhymed in (aabb) pattern
The eight beat meter (tetrameter) is spot on which allows the poem to flow nicely from beginning to end
A perfect magical line to repeat, excellent alliteration, all the elements of good poetry are here
Great picture to poem match, nicely framed and written in fairy dust font
Very well done, six fairy dust stars from a lover of fantasy
