I thought the message here was so well-stated, in just a few humorous, well-chosen words. I hope this does well in the contest. I can't think of a thing I would suggest you change.

Well, it seems that Wendy's day turned out a lot better than she thought it would. Finding out that a lump which may or may not be cancerous was, in fact, benign, would be a huge worry lifted off anyone's shoulders.

I'll bet ten to one that Sniffles will be as pleased as punch.

A "feel-good" flash fiction tail...e-r-r-r, heh-heh, tale with a very happy ending.

Best of luck to you in the contest. :)

Well done! It's not easy to create a story with a beginning, middle and end with so few words, but you have managed to do that really well here. I'm getting used to the purr-fect aspect of a cat's language thanks to 'Cat of letters,' so loved the way you used it here (why is it cats are so superior?)

Worrying gets worse as you get older, although I reckon, if my 92 year old dad was anything to go by, you then forget so much, there is nothing to worry about!

Good to have you back, and good luck in the competition with this excellent entry.

Alexis x

Hi, Nicole...

Loved that song when it came out, 'Don't Worry, Be Happy!' Beautiful artwork -- is it yours?

Enjoyed your story --- it's a great entry. Good luck in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings

Hi CG,

I wondered where you'd wandered off to. I enjoyed reading this. Some folk do spend their lives 'worrying' about what 'could' happen instead of concentrating on the things they need to, and hold themselves back as a result.

Good write. I hope you get your internet problem sorted out soon.

Patrick

I also wondered where I got to! I've had the flu for 2 weeks and am still trying to get over it--sinus and headaches=not good for internet, so I stayed away from too much reading. I haven't got the energy to sort out Twitter yet. Hopefully I will shift into gear next week when I intend to be back to fully recovered.

Urgh. Hope you recover quickly. Viral infections are a bugger and take a lot of recovery.

Excellent advice, Nicole. Bad things happen, so we don't need to encourage them. Your story unfolds naturally down the page, it is the type of day many could be having. You told it really well. Love the picture too. :) Good luck in the contest! xsx Sandra. (Missed you, how are you getting on?)

You are right, Sandra, we should not encourage them. A positive attitude makes a world of difference. Nicole.

That was an entertaining story, with good touches of humour. I liked the cat episode, I used to talk to my dogs all the time. In spite of all the worrying the day turned out well. I spotted two things, Para 8, plural subject requires 'were admirable'. Para 26, parking meter. Most enjoyable and good luck in the contest. Faye

I have no idea what it is like not to worry. Everyday it feels like I have a million and one things to worry about :) This is very well done and an excellent read. Good luck, Nicole.

I think many people are like that, and it is not good for us. Thanks, Nicole.
