G'day Dennis. Great work again mate. I haven't heard of the rapture before and found it very interesting. That picture you chose is amazing, look at the heart in the singing of that kid, fantastic. Which Bible do you guys read? I read the King James Version. Well done Sir, cheers Fez

Thanks Fez, I love that picture! It tells me they have some great parents leading their children in the ways of the Lord. I read a number of translations when studying although the King James Version holds a special place in my heart, especially for the Psalms. In the forward by the translators of the original KJV (found in its entirety on line) they thank those who translated the bible before them and anticipate that others will translate the scriptures in other versions after them. They see this as all good because they state "the most important thing is to get the word of God into the language of the people."

The English language is always changing so they show real foresight in saying this. God bless you dear brother, Dennis

Well written and a lot of truth in this one. Reminds me of a poem I posted on this site that contains the two lines "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary". Question is, are we ready? Some time the Rapture will happen as promised. Write on.

Thank you...the Rapture can happen at any moment, no signs required. Anyone who has trusted Christ is ready in one sense, yet if living like the Prodigal son, not ready. The message of the Rapture is BE ready. God bless, Dennis

It appears I am destined to be the proverbial thorn in your side. I have yet to decide if I am a believer so, obviously I am not particularly concerned with the Rapture at this time. The points you make will appeal to the believer but I doubt (again, just my opinion) they will do nothing to sway the nonbeliever. You will be pleased (maybe not) but I have been reading the Bible. I am reading three versions and must say that I am more impressed with the Torah than the Old Testament in the other two versions. I am not interested in having someone interpret it to me...that is my job. I will do my own interpreting.

Well, you know what they say about one who acts as his/her own lawyer..:) .of course I'm glad you are reading the bible. My mother did exactly that and changed our whole family...for far better, I can assure you. She got us all reading it around the supper table and my, how intrigued we were. None of us had a clue about the deeper meanings, so our discussions were free wheeling and animated for sure. God bless you, Dennis

You give solid reasons for accepting this belief, and I have no desire or any reason to dispute your words. I have given much thought to the matter, and do have questions, not disbelieving, but wondering about the process and timing. For example, if there are no Christians left on the earth, who will there be to lead nonbelievers to Christ? And if a nonbeliever desires to repent and be baptized, who would be able to baptize him or guide him in his spiritual walk? What about the children left behind? How would they survive without parents? As you can see, I have much to learn. I hope you will expand on this topic. I am so curious. Thank you for sharing.

I think you ask some good questions...perhaps I can do a follow up on this piece, addressing those issues. Let me say briefly, it is the consensus of many good Bible expositors that children are all under the general providence of God. If a child dies before the "age of accountability" he/she goes to be with Jesus.
As for baptism, contrary to some church teaching, such is not required for salvation. One simply trusts Jesus, believing He died for all sins, and all such are then "born-again" , all sins forgiven, "a new creature in Christ Jesus". The believing saints, like the thief on the cross, was never baptized yet promised he would be with Christ that very day, in Paradise.

Likewise, none of the Old Testament believers were baptized but we are assured in many places in scripture, they were accepted by God and enjoying eternal life even as I write. baptism has its place, but there is no salvation in anything or anyone except Jesus.

It's wonderful to "give much thought" to this matter, and I applaud you so doing. However, answers are found in the scripture to all our questions , so we need to be looking there.
After the Rapture, many will find salvation through the bibles and Christian literature left behind. No doubt they will be extremely motivated! Scripture tells us many, many people will be saved during the dreadful 7 year period which follows the Rapture. How much better to be saved and know it beforehand, however. That terrible time will close with the Second Coming of Christ to establish His righteous Kingdom on earth. When He comes, Israel will finally recognize Him as their Savior and King . The wicked will be judged and the Millennial reign of Christ the King will ensue. There's more but have to get ready for church! :) God bless you and guide you, Dennis

What a timely piece, as I believe we are getting closer and closer to that day. I believe many will be blessed by your writing and teaching. I love the picture of these little guys who are worshipping so whole-heartedly.

Dear Dennis,

Nothing about God contradicts Christianity or any other religion for that matter. Was Christ God incarnate? Yes, of course, but so are we all. This is no way detracts from the divinity of Christ, who must've been a very advanced incarnation of God. And for those Christians who feel uncomfortable with the notion that we are all incarnations of God, and therefore brothers and sisters of Christ. let me quote John 14:12

"In all truth I tell you, whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do myself, and will perform even greater WORKS, because I am going to the Father."

So there it is as stated by Christ himself; we are capable of even greater works than he. This can only be possible if we are all incarnations of One God whose potential is unlimited.

I would find your posts more in line with creative writing if they were about the works you are doing, faith is not enough. Surely you must have some wonderful stories about the works you are doing for the disadvantaged to work toward justice for all in your community, your country and indeed the world.

Lay them on us because it's by example and actions that people learn.

Gloria

Your conclusions regarding are incarnation, making us equal with Christ, the only Son of God, are incorrect. They are based on a verse taken out of context which has nothing to do with defining mankind in general. In our natural state, before we are converted to Christ, we are all sinners before God. We are specifically told, many times, of this truth. We are also told in scripture, Christ had no sin...and He alone is uniquely the Son of God; perfect man and perfect God, the Second Person of the trinity. It is Satan, back in the garden of Eden, who whispered in the ear of Eve, "You shall be like God" by believing his lie.

Christ died for sinners to make us saints. He rose again from the grave in a real body to prove to all what He said is true. Until one receives the Biblical truth about Jesus Christ, and trusts Him alone for salvation, he/she is lost. Any works which do not spring out of our relationship with the Living Christ are nothing but rubbish in God's sight.

Since you quote scripture as the basis for your unorthodox belief system, may I suggest you read the Gospel of John in its entirety? Christ's words, in context, will open your eyes to the truth about Him. I pray it be so, Dennis

Another great piece. This is such a difficult subject for so many people that it is good to share it. Thank you for agreeing to read some of my work. Some is written out of my faith and some out of my pain. And some is also just for fun. My favorite is "My Savior, Thou Art There". May I ask what your background is - you don't have to answer.

Sure, no problem. I'm an old man now (78) and I have been studying the Word for many years. I came to Christ because my mother was concerned about the trouble I was getting in as a teenager. She felt God was telling her she had left Him out of her life and her family's life. . She began reading the Bible at Genesis and when she got into John, she suddenly realized Jesus was the Jehovah she had been reading about in the OT! She gave herself and her family to Him that day...she said it seemed her whole kitchen lit up!

She asked me to read the bible with her and soon our family of four were reading the bible together after supper. We tried to figure out what it all meant and made many mistakes, but came to believe that faith in Jesus is the number one thing.

After many years of studying and testing out different teachers/preachers/churches I've got (by the grace of God) a firm faith in the Bible and a far better understanding than when I began. Our first church had ministers who seemed good and tried to help, but we were amazed to find out they openly said they didn't believe the Bible!

I look back and realize how many times learning was delayed because the so called teachers didn't know what they were talking about. Of course, I have encountered some really good teachers as well and been blessed by them. As believers, we need to realize we can know this book and it doesn't have to take forever which is good because we don't have forever! The key to understanding all things to do with Christian faith is the Apostle Paul's writings. Of course, his writings encompass Jesus' teaching as it pertains to the church. God bless, thanks for asking, Dennis
