Dear brother in Christ I loved your writing. I am too small to correct anything you have written here. Your faith shows and compels to keep reading and at the end one wonders 'why did he stop writing?'. Our Lord is Our Father, eternal, sublime, impeachable and all-knowing. He restores and maintains every second ALL He creates. He creates everyday and you are a proof of that. He is working through you to reach others.
Great work...keep it circulating

Great message for the world, only believe, confess and admit Christ is Lord!
I pray that this touches the hearts.

Paul preached in the temple of Diana, and people believed in Jesus! They saw the signs, wonders and miracles of healing! We need to lay hands on people in the streets. What Glory to God this will be!

God's word is more powerful than all the miracles and wonders Christ performed. God's word is life and raise dead people from their sinful lives to know Him in truth. We can trust His word to destroy arguments and smash lies of the Enemy. Jesus Himself is the everlasting miracle....God bless you, Dennis

I hope it is alright that I have added this exceptional piece to my bookcase (I am sorry that I have used all my 6 star ratings.) This piece is so well written that it deserves more than one reading.

You have encompassed such a wealth of information and so many key Bible truths and verses in here.

The phrase that stood out for me was

You don't have forever to flirt with God.

Life is too precious to waste a minute without knowing Him.

thanks indeed for sharing. have a lovely weekend Fiona

I am impressed by your faith. May you never really know your God. Why reduce him to the petty machinations of your mind. When Moses confronted him on Mt. Sinai he said; By what name shall I tell them about you?" And God said. "Tell them that I am he who has no name." Since then have we not tirelessly reinvented him even though there is a covenant between us that might go back to the Book of Job. -Ekim777

You are in major error and are using a faulty translation. Suggest you read the Gospel of John in a main stream translation.
reply by Ekim777 on 24-Apr-2015
I beg to differ. My reference is the Old Testament and in Hebrew. Best wishes -Ekim777
reply by the author on 24-Apr-2015
Your translation is bogus as are your observations, which show the danger of singling out one verse to the exclusions of others speaking on the same subject. Context, both immediate and in the larger sense of the whole bible determine meaning. May you one day know the God of the Bible through Jesus Christ the Lord.
reply by Ekim777 on 25-Apr-2015
My source is the Old Testament written in Hebrew and that is the language in which I read it. Might I remind you that Hebrew was Christ's spoken language.
reply by the author on 25-Apr-2015
All the main line translators read Hebrew as well. They debate difficult passages and are therefore insulated from the errors of individualism promotes. You are in error and I would ask you if you believe Jesus Christ is both God and man? That is the litmus test of true faith...how do you stand on Jesus?
reply by Ekim777 on 25-Apr-2015
I believe the Book of Job is the high point of Judaism and led to the advent of Christ and Christianity. What did Christ mean when he said; "Ah Lord, why hast thou forsaken me?" -Ekim777
reply by the author on 25-Apr-2015
Christ was forsaken by God for our sin. Obviously, it was only for a short time but it was an eternity to Christ who had never been separated from God before. His bodily resurrection proved God's acceptance of Christ's sacrifice for all believers in Christ.
You certainly have some weird views. Judaism started with Moses giving the Ten Commandments to the nation Israel. It is no longer functional, since the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD just as Christ said it would be. No Temple, no sacrifices, no Judaism.
Its all about Jesus now and who He is. Seven times He says "I am" in the Gospel of John.
Tell me, oh great interpreter of Hebrew, who is called the "I Am" in Exodus?
Here's a message in plain English for you from Jesus, who you refuse to recognize as God:"Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.?John 8:24
Better think it over. Better to acknowledge you are wrong here so you don't "die in your sins". Nothing could be worse! Please humble yourself and trust Jesus Christ to take away your sins...now. Dennis

reply by Ekim777 on 26-Apr-2015
My definition of sin, is he who does not believe in God. Whatever the case," I don't agree with a word you say but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." I believe in the God that Christ believed in. He was a practicing Jew. I think we have resorted to semantics. With respect. -Ekim777
reply by the author on 26-Apr-2015
semantics are very important...this how we express thoughts and beliefs, are they not? BTW, you never answered my question; do you believe Jesus is bot God and man as the scriptures claim? Dennis
reply by Ekim777 on 26-Apr-2015
Judaism began with our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, - 1812 BCE many centuries before Moses appears - 1392 BCE. Judaism has never disappeared even after the destruction of the 2nd. Temple 70 CE. God said to Moses on Mt. Sinai ?I am He who has no name?. The Jews who have never disappeared from the face of the earth ?believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah; and though he tarry, we will wait daily for his coming.?

I was fortunate enough to have given my life over to God at a very early age, Dennis. And while my life has been far from trouble free, He has always let me know in some way that He's always near, always there for me should I need him. Not until my out-of-body, near death experience in 2010 in which a massive heart attack which left me dead on my living room floor for well over three minutes, did I begin to question certain aspects of my faith. However, I realize that without God, I would not even be here today to share this conversation with you, nor would I be able to write at all had I suffered massive brain damage. The things I saw in the place where I was were truly horrifying. Not until after I was brought back from the threshold of death, through God's grace and some skilled paramedics, did I write of the dark, horrific things I do now. Something dark and sinister was brought back here with me. Although I have spoken to my pastor about it, and have prayed about it myself on many occasions, the compulsion to write of the darkness and things that go bump-in-the-night will not leave me be.

There were no beckoning relatives nor bright white lights calling me home. There were no angelic choirs singing or pearly gates. There was only a massive sea of shimmering, undulating black oceans, as smooth and as slick as glass...and them. Black gelatinous shapes, devoid of color, sound or compassion. And they were searching for me...there...in the darkness.

My faith in God is strong despite the experience I went through. I only wish I knew what it all meant.

None of us is guaranteed a tomorrow, and flirting with God is akin to playing Russian Roulette with your eternal salvation...or damnation, depending on which side of the fence you're on.

Dear Dean, I so appreciate your telling me your personal story. I hope what I have to say will not sound so much like "preaching" but more like a comforting word from God.

"Something dark and sinister was brought back here with me. Although I have spoken to my pastor about it, and have prayed about it myself on many occasions, the compulsion to write of the darkness and things that go bump-in-the-night will not leave me be."

Let me say, I believe you when you say this and I also believe I can help you be rid of this affliction through God's word. You will have to actively participate in the process however if you want to be free of it.

Know first of all, that "giving yourself to God" needs to be defined. Technically, this is not salvation although it may be involved. Salvation is received as a free gift from God through Christ's once and for all sacrifice. So I suggest you check this scripture to see if you are truly saved. Jesus said,
?Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24 (NKJV)

Please note, if you are trusting Christ in this matter of salvation, you already have eternal life and are promised you will never come into judgment (condemnation), because you have passed from death (separation from God) to life (in Christ).

This is wonderful and you need to truly soak this in. Marinate in it, brother! :)

Now, assuming you are truly saved, these dark impressions are coming from the Demons who inhabit spiritual darkness. Demons cannot possess a child of God, but then can oppress a child of God. Please read that again?

Assuming this is the case with you (being oppressed by demons) you need to be proactive in releasing yourself from their bondage of your mind. Be aware, they hate and are afraid of light...Christ is light. The scriptures are His word and are therefore light. Open the book, and let the light flood in. Perhaps it will gradually seep in but eventually it will flood in and you will be free from their compulsions. Remember, they don't fear you and me, but they are terrified of Christ. When you read the comforting book of Psalms, realize David's enemies of whom he often speaks, are metaphors for the demonic sprits seeking to use you and oppress you.

Here's another great verse for spiritual freedom:
    ?God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.?

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

God bless you, Dean. Christ bled for you and rose again to give your freedom from the dark side and call you into His marvelous light. YBIC, Dennis

I read my Bible everyday, Dennis, and I also believe everything it says. I studied for a short time to be a minister in seminary school (Liberty University), but writing became my life's passion. Well that, and my family. Honestly, I didn't feel truly worthy of becoming a minister, although the pull to do so was very strong. I know my Bible almost as well as I know the back of my hand, but what does that mean in the grand scheme of things. I also know many atheists who know the Bible pretty well themselves. :)

God bless, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend... ~Dean

Thanks Dean...I have had and continue to have, many difficulties as well. O can say with Paul, "I have not already achieved,(become perfect, as in fully mature) but I follow after..."I trust you know I did not seek to criticize you...I simply don't know the spiritual condition of those I interact with, so I try to start with the basics. As for being a minister, no one is worthy in and of themselves. Remembering God (Hebrews 12) promises correction for all of His children, might the two things (experiences with the dark side leading to a compulsion to write horror and the call of God to preach His word be associated? God bless, Dennis
reply by Dean Kuch on 24-Apr-2015
Oh, no offense taken in the slightest, Dennis. I realize none of us truly knows who we're speaking with on any website, only what they impart to us. I do sometimes try to include a biblical reference and reasoning for why something happened to a particular character in a story (turned away from and shunned God, for example) in many of the terror tales I write, I could give you a long list of them here, but I wouldn't want to bore you to death, LOL...

My pastor once told me that perhaps God uses me subliminally, so that those who would not normally read something spiritual, but who very well might read a horror story, will see the word of God. Getting the get message out to unbelievers, without them knowing it to put it another way. I like to think that's true...:)

To believe in God is possible for some and not for others... To believe in the bible is a bone of total contention for it is put together selectively.
As a "Thomas"I found this informative and thought provoking

I appreciate your honesty...remember Thomas came to the risen Christ with all his doubts and found them resolved by his encounter with Jesus. In truth, it is a mistake to continue to call him "doubting Thomas" any more. Everyone struggles with unbelief but exposing yourself to the scriptures, particularly to the Gospel of John can erode your doubt and build your faith. Please note what Jesus said to Thomas about US in this passage verse 29:

24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, ?We have seen the Lord.?

So he said to them, ?Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.?

26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, ?Peace to you!? 27 Then He said to Thomas, ?Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.?

28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, ?My Lord and my God!?

29 Jesus said to him, ?Thomas,[d] because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.?
Your comment about the assembly of the scriptures reflects the view of the so called "higher critics". I would urge you to read them yourself and let them speak as written. They will convince you of their truthfulness. God bless you and I pray you are encouraged in the right way...Dennis

This work has reached the exceptional level

Evangelical tone and a call to redeem the world is sounded by the author. The redemption is a mission that is still in work and the writer sees no conviction except from Jesus and the words of the Bible.
Faith story expressed with ones conviction is promoted to spread the good news for the weak and the trouble heart. Read by all faith seekers and the troubled mind. A solace point is nurtured in the writing by the author that is what makes this piece an eternal bliss.

Hi Deniz, I truly enjoy your wonderful spiritual debates on here my friend, and you surely do put up an excellent arguement for believing in God almighty.
Do you preach in a church? if not, then you really should, you have a very strong voice which is rare in most speakers today, Have a lovely weekend my friend.

Thank you Eric...but I trust you realize faith in the existence of God is not the goal of Christianity. The goal is the conversion of sinful hearts determined to walk away from God from our birth. James tells us the devils believe in the existence of God and tremble, so such limited faith is futile. We are called to actually hear the voice of God speaking through the scriptures.

Christ rose bodily from the grave, attesting everything He taught is of God. The early church was not persecuted because they called for faith in God...but because they said Jesus is God. Where do you stand on this matter? Dennis

I just love this my brother, this is by far the most effective work I've seen you write, nothing wrong with your others either, but my spirit leapt within me when I read it! I had just finished writing a poem about my testimony up to the Lord revealing to me who Jesus really was, and although I'd heard well meaning preachers telling me what a dirty rotten sinner I am, I said "tell me something I don't know" but how do I meet God? was my question, then HE revealed Christ, I then, irrevocably Knew who Jesus was, born again we call it! Oh bless His precious name, from that moment on my life was turned right side up. 32 years, not always smooth sailing but always with hope, I think God has timed both our work perfectly. I'll post within a few hours Bro. watch out for It! well done, the Spirit is moving, Blessings, Dennis, YBIC. Roy.
