Obvious fan of Neil Diamond's. Well written poem that flows well. Easy to follow story line. Action reads smoothly. Write on.

Thank you Brett.

I love Neil Diamond. His latest album shows he's still got what it takes. Love how you incorporated different Diamond songs at just the right time. Reads smoothly and divine as "Red, Red Wine" Sweet Caroline has sort become an anthem of sorts. Superb writing. Les

Thank you Les. Yes, Sweet Caroline. He really gets the audience going with that one, i was impressed with how strong his voice still is. And, he was dancing and strutting on the stage with amazing energy for a 74 year old.

Didn't know he's 74. His voice is holding up superbly.

Another excellent poem! You certainly have a gift for smooth rhyme and rhythm. I found myself humming along to many of the songs and could almost see the excitement of the audience. Excellent writing! This really deserves 6 stars but I am out...sigh. I look forward to reading more of your writings. God bless :)

Thank you once again valerie. I appreciate the compliment and glad you got into the songs.

This is great. I don't think I've ever read a poem about a concert. But this worked. I think because his songs are so well known you can get away with just naming the songs. I could picture this all in my head. Great job.

Neil Diamond is still around. That must have been a spectacular concert. Glad you had a nice date. Good photograph... the colors. Well thought out and clearly written in poetic form. Lyrical. Informative. Nice.

Nice photo that complements your poem perfectly. You must have been chuffed going to his concert. You also remember a lot of the names of his songs. I think we recently watched him on television.

I am glad you got to attend one of your favorite performer's concerts. Thanks for sharing your description of Diamond's performance in these rhymed couplets in mostly quatrains. The dramatic photo from the ticket is a neat touch. I relished your weaving in the song titles and "savored" the show through your words. Cheers- Joan

Thanks Sir T. He's still got it. In fact, his voice is even better.

Good rhythm and rhyme
I too love Neil Diamond but had not listened to any of his music
for a long time. You have brought back memories and so I will be going to play some back in time music today

Thank you Erica. That's wonderful!

This just about proves you can do anything poetically, even a review of a concert. I liked the way you managed to work all the song titles into the piece in a very natural way. I gave a wry smile at your rhyme of "Aahs" with "Applause", after what we were saying last week; I could hear the "All American" vowels coming over hard and strong. An enjoyable reaad.

Thank you Pantygynt. That's a true issue with an international site. Hope you pronounced "again" as "agen". Lol.

It doesn't have to be international to run into that problem. In our tiny iland there are more accents than you could shake a stick it. It makes for a colourful life!
