The writer expresses his full love for having lost a loved one, his mother. He feels loneliness and unending pain. But even as he knows that time heals he still struggles from an empty feeling. He feels the emptiness from the wind--the breeze when it passes the leaves.. He senses it pretty well. On this Mother's Day, she is there with him "in the whisper of the breeze." His emotions shine brightly, and the structure of his poem is great. The fourth line of the second stanza, the word"their" should be "there."

This is a lovely poem from a son to his mother/ My other went to be with the Father -in 2007a year after my daughter pass away.
I can relate to your every word, she is with night and day.

The loss of a Mother is something you never get over nor should you ever want to. This poem tells that message very nicely. It flows well and paints a clear picture. Write on.

Having lost close members of my own family in recent years I can well understand that void in your life which never appears to be filled. The emotion came through well in this piece, Bill. Beautiful sentiments for mothers day, one which I also share. My mother too has been gone for 30 years now, but there is not a day that passes that I can't feel her. If your mother pop's into your memories she is there. An invisible love just watching over you. Excellent poetry! Stephanie
