I find it a little difficult to decipher this poem. There could be several interpretations to this poem, I believe. But because of its tone which others may consider it as keen and sharp, I'm a little lost. But let me try. Something important (a ticket) caused a heart attack, first line. The second line shifted to something the writer is not familiar--the Atlantis. Unless the receiver is not a wide reader, he gets lost. The last line is like or almost a repeat to the first.

The video does enhance the understanding of the glimpses of emotion and connection to sudden loss and its reflection on the immensity of effect. Your reduction to emotion and image is well synthetized.

Great job as always. "love what we hate and innate procreates" - that line sticks with me for some reason. Engaging and beautiful. Thanks for the post! Cheers, MM

Nice photo that complements your poem perfectly: two people looking away from each other. Love and hate. And then a sudden heart attack. This free verse sounded great.

Wow, I didn't understand the words until I saw the stunning video. What a beautiful song to accompany this fine piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing it. The music was just lovely, and now that I read the poem again. it breaks my heart. Great writing, poet.

Although, listed in general category, I found this to be a deep philosophical verse and I admit that I am not sure if I fully grasp the theme.

Hello Ameen....-smile- Condition...I think it was about the human condition....that's where my background was stilted...so its a good guess. I'm wondering if I'm still harboring resentment. A subconscious ghost haunting perhaps. I chant the just let go slogan as a religious zealot marches on....even attending people are not all evil anonymous twice a week...but there are still times, you know what I mean...? Anyway...thanks man....love Michael

Hi Baby, I don't think it's so much hate in anger...as it is two heads just hitting...we hate what we love...love what we hate...even for all we fought...when push came to shove...I would have given Bobby whatever it took to get him to live...it was just his time...this is so beautifully written...with so much feeling...only your words could have said it said nicely...and as you know...the video has a special meaning...love you Michael...Linda xxoo

I know...that's the best part of the story...and moral for us all...your conversation with God, how earnestly you sacrificed your strength of being in ransom for what you had....I suppose its what kept you going...knowing...not only Gods witness...but your own...knowing. -smile-...you're good...deep soul you're good. love Michael

Your artwork selection reminded me of the skinny models being boycotted in France--one of them did die of anorexia a few years ago! Your reflection that we "hate what we love/love what we hate" is thought provoking. Relish today, because the end can come "just like that"! Cheers- Joan

7/22/16 Seeing this work again, I noted how the stark picture and title selection was dramatic and underscored your message. More cheers- Joan

Michael: your cryptic messages sometimes turn me inside out. I'm going to ask . . . who had a heart attack? But, I'm probably missing your intent there. It's good but I don't know what you mean. I'm tired tonight and probably shouldn't be attempting to read others poetry. Excuse me and good night. Sleep Thunder

Hi Thunder...-smile-...um lets see...the video...um was shared by someone special. the song had just been released I guess and was playing constantly, she said...during her husbands hospitalization. He never recovered...unexpected complications. I asked her...when it happened, when they told you...you immediately were sorry for all words said and thoughts expressed in anger....and she said yes....and that she wished for just one more hour to tell him that. I think....that we don't really believe will die....having never experienced it...how could we...even seeing it happen around us...somehow were protected.....-smile-...and then suddenly....I remember when my Dad died....for months later...even still...I get sudden rush of panicked fear, realizing I'll never hear that calming ocean of assurance....ya know until I...die...? -headtilt-...are you sure...? love Bug-
