a masterful poem about Mary watching her son's cruxifiction and Jesus's words of comfort for her as he dies on the cross. Powerful re-telling of the story in time for Easter celebrations

What a beautiful poem. The picture goes well with the words. I can't imagine what Mary went through. It would be hard for me to watch my son die. The poem is well wrltten.

Congratulations on the Easter Theme Acrostic Poetry Contest win. Mary wept is the shortest verse in the Bible yet one of the most powerful when we consider the complete meaning. Thank you for sharing this poem for Easter. It is lovely.

So beautiful. Congratulations on winning the contest. In a way it's sad that there is not more biblical references about Jesus and His Mother, Mary. I would imagine they were very close! And definitely... I am sure Mary Wept on many occasions. Thanks for sharing your message with us.

Thank you, my friend, for your wonderful review. I appreciate all the stars and I'm sure Jesus does to.
Yes, I would imagine that Mary spent many of Her days crying, especially, after Jesus started preaching to the masses of people and became well known. There were many that wanted Jesus killed.
I wish you and your family a very safe and Happy Easter...Bill

Cedar, title, picture, theme, tone and compressed verbiage combine to
present a poignant representation of pre-crucifixion of Mary's Son (our
Savior)...You've limned a perfect Easter poem for Christians...If only the
fighting/killing/horrifics weren't taking place as we pray, write, review and prepare to celebrate the biggest miracle of all in less than a week. It's easy
to see how your acrostic contest entry won the competition. Congratu-lation on a timely work. teafor2

Mother Mary wept beneath the cross with John beside her. I can imagine her heartbreak when Jesus said, "Look at your Son now." What a wonderfully written poem. Congrats on the win!
Have a great day, and God bless.

This is an excellent poem. I wonder if Christ might have said something like that to his mother before he was crucified. I see you have made an acrostic poem that rhymes. That makes it even better

Hello Beth,
Yes, I do imagine that Jesus did say something of that nature to his Mother, Mary. Possibly along the way while Jesus Christ was carrying the cross.
I wish you and yours a very Happy Easter...Bill

Your poem poignantly reminds us of what it must have been like for Mary to watch her son die so brutally. I like how you focus on Jesus, speaking to his mother and telling her what his death will mean for those who believe in Him. Your poem is truly worthy of the win. Rod
