I love this poem. The imagery it evokes is truly beautiful...."we ran to greet the promise of the vines";" ....olive grove that wrapped us in its gnarled and twisted arms..." - examples of a very talented poet. The belief of a promise that youth will last forever is universal for all of time. Memories, for most of us, will never fade, but are a poor substitute for the reality of youth. An extremely heartfelt poem, Kiwisteveh. Wendy.
