The prompt should be well satisfied by this, and the poem should read well to the young. They probably won't mention the well crafted rhymes and meter, so I will. Excellent.

Bravo! So deserving of six, bright stars, but I regret I've used up my limit. Excellent word choice makes for a tongue-twisting great read. Alliteration, and rhyme make it flow, and a party of fun makes me want to be there!

In my opinion, an absolutely charming read for children of all ages - the young ones may have difficulty with some of the words, but I believe the older ones will add them to their vocabulary and enjoy sharing them with one other - a wonderful bedtime read for all children - rhyming and rhythm excellent in structure and rendering - I can see a genuine enjoyable experience for children and their parents as well...

I simply love this piece especially your unique wording. My favorite stanza,
Figberry Folly's Fiesta Finale
(Try saying that thrice and your tongue'll go gnarly!)
Has fireworks and flares that are phantasmegorical,
Wand-craft and wizardry new and historical.
I have always loved that word:Phantasmagoria...
You did a wonderful job with this.

Hi Steve,

This is definitely a piece that needs to be read out loud. Great alliteration and something kids would love.

Fantastic kids poem - well penned.

WOW! This is great. The rhythm is superb as is the alliteration. I know that kids would really like this fun poem (but adults, too). Great job with the prompt. The flow and rhyme keep the poem moving at a quick pace (but not to quick that one misses the fun of the made up words). Good job. This is a strong contender.

kiwisteveh: I am picturing a group of small children sitting in a circle and listening to this poem. A few would be lost but it would be the usual few who were always lost. The rest would be in motion from the rhythm of this silly poem. There would be smiles and giggles and attempts at saying the made-up words which tickle their tongues. They would be happy. A great contender for the contest. Imagination . . . you are not lacking. livelylinda

This is fabulous. It reminds me of the invented vocabulary written by Roald Dahl. Great alliteration and fun tongue twisters. This would make a super children's book or even a series. well done
