Dear Vance - an excellent submission for the faith contest. This has that sacred prayer quality that has me pausing in reflection. The only thing that popped for me for the amount of "and" in this - I would of tried to remove them:)
Nicely penned my friend and good luck.
Thanks for sharing,
Maureen

HI Moreen: so delightful to hear from you and thanks so much for your comments. I was waxing a bit biblical on the "AND"s but I get your point and thanks again! Hugs: Vance

And the words of God, then thundered across the universe calling all living souls to the place of love. Very strong wording. Best to you in the contest.

Many people are is lost to the pleasures of the world. They mock believers and call them names. Who is going to have the last laugh when the truth is revealed? He said to knock at the door and He will answer. There is still time . Well written with a good message.

I think scripture has predicted times like this Vance, but The Lord knows that people because of pride and deception and because to come into the light would mean it reveals their sin, so they would rather stay in their sin and darkness! Beautifully done Vance, you have produced another articulate and forceful work. Blessings, Roy.

It's a materialistic world more than ever. Remember the hippies of the late sixties and early seventies when they went to join communes and live on bare essentials. They grew their own food and gardened, shared everything. Where are those people now? Love the title to this. It drew me in right away. Also liked the way you explained thing in your author notes. Like the phrase "our GOD of nature and the universe." Faith seems more clouded with these gadgets which is out of control. Very thought provoking. Les

Outstanding, very thought provoking free verse you've managed to create here for the contest, Vance. You make several excellent points, not just in your poetic piece, but in your author's notes as well.
You know what they say... "The grass is always greener..."
Excellent work, and good luck to you in the Faith Poetry contest. :)

About all that can be said is "AMEN...." I can only imagine the day we meet God but until then I "hope." I enjoyed your poem...
