After reading this I'm inclined to believe it myself! One never knows what surprises lay in store.. and your story exemplifies that fact..it's amazing what can happen from acts of kindness as well.. glad I stopped to read, good luck wishes to you!

At first, this reminded me of two things: "101 Dalmations" and "Feast," the recent Oscar winner short piece. You can never go wrong when you tell a story of love and involve a canine. Nice work. :)

I think this is a lovely fable with an even more lovely moral. Every time we have the chance to change someone's tears to joy, we should. Best of luck in the contest.

in the mirror, for she felt - add comma
