Your free verse describe a writer, giving it his all. The outcome is like one's off spring, a very part of your DNA. It's hard to handle criticism of something that is apart of us. But like Hemmingway...we eventually disregard it unless it's helpful.

You're singing to the choir here, Mikey-m'lad. We all go through the blank pages, the sweat beads and furrowed brows.
Ah, but then he considers the stars. Sadly he posted before midnight Saturday. It is a dismal sky, Mikey. Constellations of 5 stars abound. And here is one of those.
BTW, I'm looking up at my trophy now. It's a beauty.

Well penned free verse poem without photo. Clever use of descriptive wording producing impressive imagery. First and last stanza tie everything together. Nice progression, rhythm and flow for a smooth read. Take care, Deb

Nicely done free verse, Michael.. reading it was almost like receiving an intergalactic experience.. really though, for me, what you accomplished here is an accurate description of what it's like to create.. and at the end of our work we often feel a sense of relief.. I do, anyhow. I loved it, I wish I had another six to give you.. because it certainly is worthy of one!
