Mind blowing! When my imagination takes me to the stars it has re-entry problems and burnout on return, unlike yours! Like a true poet you have sprinkled your page with stardust!

Hi Mikey. This is one terrific piece of free verse. I definitely like it and can't imagine who it would peeve. Love your slightly sarcastic sense of humor. The stanza beginning "I shoot through the clouds..." is so full of imagery and imagination. Love the idea of exhaling galactic materials to form words on a page. Great ending. I thoroughly enjoyed this take on the prompt. Best of luck in the contest. Sue

This is just the second entry I have read for this fun contest. I love that there are no rules allowing the writer to express him/herself without restraint. Great work with this one, I enjoyed it immensely. I wish you all the best in the contest too.

This was very interesting, and full of visual detail. I can relate to this poem as every writer can, especially if it is something special, something that you wrote and you poured every ounce of your soul into it. You are proud of your own work but will others relate to it in the same way.

Oh my goodness a definite no rules entry.
Had to read it a couple of times before I realized the last lines said it all and we been had.

One of your best. This captures the process of creativity so well. Sitting down with that urge and trying to find a spark. Then, it hits you and you explode. Finally, the reaction. And as long as you get one, it's all good. Exceptional.

and reasoning resounds -- loved the creativity in these lines
