I loved this! You had me chuckling all the way through, but toenail (#10) in her hair did me in. I burst out laughing. That was so funny! The picture you've used goes along perfectly. I live in Erie, PA, and we have spent most of this winter ranked at #1 in the "snowglobe" contest for the city with the most snowfall, so I feel your cabin-fever pain!
I cannot offer any suggestions for improvement, as it seems great as is.
BTW, it is one degree here right now... why does anyone need more than one of 'em???

A delightful read.

I hadn't come across the acronym PDA before. After several wild and silly guesses, I looked it up in an on-line list of acronyms. Having dismissed Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Phase Doppler Anemometry, my eye alighted triumphantly on Public Display of Affection.

This is a well crafted, free flowing story in which the couple's love for each other is clear, both in the way he talks about her, and his fear she doesn't love her--he wouldn't worry about that if he didn't love her back. Reads very well and made me smile.

I also liked very much the sentence: "These little tension moments are stored in the back of my head where there's lots of room." It is one of the most beautiful expressions of love, in my opinion...

Sorry to say the toenail thingee was an embellishment prompted by several other things the poor woman has endured. Not to say I haven't clipped said toenails in the living room. She doesn't have to throw anything at me no matter how much deserved. She can give a look that suppresses all opposition. :) Glad you liked it! Dennis

I'm like you, I do much of the vacuuming and cleaning around here, but my wife works, so...I figure it's the least that I can do. I'm on disability for a bum ticker, so I'm the one who's stuck at home 24/7.

Thanks Dean, very much appreciated. Have not seen the movie but am now intrigued per your review. My wife hates house cleaning and doesn't care who knows it, but she does many other thing, like all the shopping and cooking. So we have a division of labor which just evolved. Sorry to hear about your medical condition but it hasn't impaired your imagination or writing abilities. As you know, I'm not into your genre but those who are seem to esteem you highly for your work. Thanks again, Dennis
