This is such a true and charming poem. Loved it. The content is playful. Great rhyming. We do slave over each word. The solace is knowing that everyone else does the same. Good job with this enjoyable, fun post. (I'd better go have my mid-morning snack!) Marilyn

Yep, me too, Marilyn. But I can't just yet, see.I have this poem I'm working on...
Oh, woe is me, here I go again, heh-heh...

Thanks for reviewing this poem from my "brighter side", Marilyn. I sure do appreciate it!

Sometimes I wish I could skip meals just to write, but with a large family, eating isn't the only thing that occupies my time.
I loved your funny little poem. It reminded me of when we have bacon and eggs for supper. We call it 'Brupper'.
It is great dedication to write so much that you forget to eat, however, I once read an article about a very successful author (I forget who) who said that when she is writing, she makes it a point to go do something physical at least once an hour to keep the blood flowing to the brain.
Maybe she makes someone eat crow. :)

    You've got that right, Mike!
The inspiration for this came from a recent 24-hour editing marathon for an editor who simply had to have a revised chapter to a story I'd written for my book. And she wanted it the day before yesterday, if you catch my drift? That's where the idea for this crazy post originated from.
Thanks for giving it a shot. I really appreciate the read and your kind comments.

And I have done just that, too. skip meals. My doctor says I can not do that because I am diabetic. SOOOOO.. now I keep bags of nuts and fruits at my desk to nibble away on. Right now I sent out my co-worker for lunch so that I wouldn't have to leave my desk. (I'm pitiful).
Keep on writing and reviewing. Good one Dean.

I loved it! It was creative and original, and obviously quite hilarious. It also speaks to so many of us writers who skip meals because we've become engrossed in a writing project and don't even realize how many hours have passed until our stomachs are growling in protest.

I understand, especially since I'm sitting here with a growling stomach, realizing I've yet to eat breakfast because I've been writing for 2 hours!

I enjoyed this immensely. It is a fun and delightful poem that I can partially relate to. I usually eat just one meal a day, jut not hungry in all this heat. I especially got a kick out of the last paragraph and your notes were a hoot too.

Ah, yes, a meal I have enjoyed quite often. I found this poem extremely creative, especially the combined name of the meals. The rhyme and meter made this a fun and entertaining read. Thank you for sharing.

What fun! I lovvve it! You surprised me so much that I had to recheck the author's name. Sure enough, Mr. Horror is the writer of this lighthearted, imaginative, wacky poem. I have to ask... are you feeling okay? Not possessed by any demons, are you? :)

Hahaha, I surprised you didn't I, Phyllis. Hey, even I have to crawl out into the light every now and then. After all, heaven knows I don't want to become like my ill-fated protagonist in my last limerick. That would not be good.
Thanks for the sixe stars, and for reading this crazy poem in the first place.
I am really happy you enjoyed it.

I am pleased to see a fun side of you. I like breakfalupper breakfast, lunch and supper all in one. Unfortunately I have to eat 5 times a day small portions of food and fruits to keep the sugar levels in tact.

Hello Handsome :)

LOL This poem is too funny. I love the animation and the art work. Breakfalupper is my kind of cooking. It's just me at home and I don't want to cook most of the time. Good job my friend!

Check out this line, I think -witers- is suppose to be writers. :)
