I love your antics in the way you make us laugh, bringing in fried eggs jumping around, how do you find these things! I totally agree that writing sets us free, being a wheelchair person, writing lets me be free. Nonsense it may be to you who wrote it; for us it makes us smile and look for more. Well done Dean. (we call it Bubble & Squeak) leftovers thrown together with eggs! XX

    Bubble & Squeak. . . that's kind'a catchy, Aussie. I like that!
I also liked your thoughtful comments quite a bit too (how's that for a segue, h-m-m-m-m-m?), and your generous six star rating was just the icing on an already sweet review.
It's good to know I'm not alone in eating this sort of meal. No matter what we call it, it serves our purpose and keeps us from starving to death, heh-heh...
Thanks so much again for your wonderful review.

    HUGS! ;)

This is a delightful read! I do know folks who get so obsessed with their writing or painting that they lose all sense of time - skipping meals and such for days. Excellent advice - try wrapping it up in a burrito and then you can still type with one hand while eating ..... unless you use lots of salsa which can become a keyboard disaster. Nicely done and I thank you very much for sharing it.

Now you got the gist of this, Monica! Just eat everything at once, all wrapped up in a burrito shell or tossed into a bowl, and get it done and over with. And you're absolutely right about the excessive salsa. Made that same mistake a time or two myself. It ain't pretty!
Thanks you for reviewing my silly, whimsical poem. I'm really pleased to know that you not only enjoyed it, but you "get it" as well.

I enjoyed reading your write, at so points in your poem I can relate.
I'm surprise the power the computer can take control of our minds.
To the point we take no time to eat.
I love the moving frying pan, it's awesome.
Cookie.

That was an ingenious little diddy. I do know the feeling of getting on a roll and not wanting to stop for anything. Now if you can work in a sleecomutawork rhyme to go with Breakfalupper...I could stay home all day.

My, you have got it bad! Nothing like a good portmanteau word to get you travelling through the realms of fancy. Although the form varies, the poem maintains its forward momentum, impelled by the wheels of humour. All my best (and worst) culinary inventions are inspired by what-the-fridge-has-on-offer.

Hahaha, thank you, Tony. It was all written tongue-in-cheek--me just having a bit of lighthearted fun. Even I have to crawl out from my crumbling crypt from time to time. It;s really beginning to reek in there!

Tried it - done it - liked it --- but... but now I prepare lunch completely BEFORE coming up here to write. Colin would leave home if I didn't feed him a good meal on time.

I loved this light-hearted piece you've written, Dean - such fun and impressive. Had I a six left it would be yours.

Thanks, Margaret. No sixes are ever necessary, my friend. It's the thought that really counts.
Again, thanks so much for your wonderful review. I'm very happy you liked this one!

Hi Dean,

This is cute, makes sense and is fun to read. I'm always amazed when I find certain people here no matter what time of day I log in. I don't think they even leave their computers for a Breakfalupper and we won't even try to contemplate how they manage their other bodily functions, hee hee.

Vegetarians call eggs liquid flesh. Your graphics give that new meaning, eeek.

What a fun read. Hugs, Lou

E-w-w-w-w, Lou. Liquid flesh... that's disgusting, lol. And to think I used to like eggs before reading this review.
Thanks for that, and for your comments, too!
    Best wishes

LOL - I'm actually on my way to the kitchen. Hubby and I have scrambled eggs every morning. Oh my God. I think I hear screaming coming from the fridge, hee hee.

Dammit! I didn't realize I was being that loud, Lou. Just give me five minutes. I'll be outta your fridge before you know it. ;)

Even though you claim no particular rhyme scheme, I found your humorous poem had good rhythm, rhyme and flow. I particularly enjoyed your last two lines. Well done.

Thanks, TomyKan. It was just written for fun, in a tongue-and-cheek sort of way and not meant to be taken too seriously. Although I agree, there is some truth in those last two lines you mentioned, LOL.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read & review my work. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks for your deepest sympathy but it aroused a lot of empathy for you. The secret lies in living peacefully with critics; for their antipathy, have matching apathy Can it called level-playing field?:)-

Aw, it was all written tongue-in-cheek, scd41, and not meant to be taken too seriously. Just testing my fun muse instead of my dark one for a change of pace, that's all...

Oh Kuch, I never knew the name of the meal that I cherished so much until now - breakfalupper. My usual delight when writing or reviewing. Taste so nice. I love this humorous poem. You captured and pictured the life of a writer and his thoughts in this poem. Very well done creative impressions that go with the poem. Well done, my friend.
