A beautiful story, most (if not all) of us can relate to: the Great Uncertainty, the stupidity and clumsiness of your answers and behavior. You have depicted it with great charm.

A cute story of teenage experimentation. He was a pretty smoothe operator, she showed the right amount of over-the-top reaction. Well done. :) Nancy

Sorry you missed the contest. A fun short read peeking into the minds of teenagers. The first kiss has so much drama attached to it--good descriptions, John. Love in a library, huh? Maybe I should try it sometime. LOL

Oh! This one bought some memories flooding back for sure.
I enjoyed the way the two characters came alive. She was all girly, nervous and unsure whilst he was the man strong and sure of himself.
Kissing is a wonderful discovery and you showed this by her reaction.
When in doubt always share your deepest secrets with your faithful teddy bear. LOL.
Well written and thoughtfully plotted.
:-) Shirley

This is a cute story. I liked the blinking of the eye action, although it was a bit long winded. I would have said 'each time he kissed me, my eyes closed.' Otherwise great story. Thank you for sharing.

That book came in handy.
I guess all teenagers 'bump into each other' on purpose. I could feel your characters nervousness. The approach was flawless... Razz-a-ma-tazz-ingly groovey.
Super fun to read John,
Love, Carolyn

A fond memory; of a wooded knoll, at Camp Hakata, Japan. Her name was Sandra. When she blabbed to her friends, I also kissed, Joanne and Martha. A cad at seven. By the way it was the faerie in the tree stump, not open or closed eyes.
Can you tell I loved the story.

AW, what a shame, John, this would have been a smashing entry. I love little stories like this, they pack a lot into them and keep the reader entranced. This one did it for me. :) Really lovely story, my friend. xsx Sandra.

Hi jmdg1954
One visit to the library that will, no doubt, live in legend. It certainly will live in the memory of the kissers.
An amusingly touching little tale of a clandestine kiss.
