Love it! Makes me smile and then furrow my brows as I read a fantastic poetic story that is a mixture of descriptive horror words and graphically bloody images. Great flow and rhyme, although it did take a couple of reads to get the rhythm in me;) Kristin B.

Okay, I know, this is another prompt and nobody is supposed to know who the poet is, but hey, can't prove it by me - mum's the word. (LOL)

However, since I recognize masterful writing when I see it, and feel I can suggest ANY small improvement, I then do my best -

"Aghast I watched, as from the snow revolting creatures wobbled out." << whenever it's possible to keep writing (sounding) close to speech, I think it makes for a smoother flow (just my opinion, my friend, offered with much respect and admiration for your talent). We wouldn't say. "...as from the snow creatures revolting..."

Yet again, I am awed by another poem on FanStory (by an author whose work is so distinctive...)
(Psst...That's a good thing.)

Great rhyme, great flow, great use of alliteration, and funny story from beginning to end. I love that you used Phyllis' name in it - very creative! Had to give it a 6!

I'm still laughing at your absolutely fabulous poem. Stewartstein's Monsters. The title is apropos and picture perfect. So Phyllis, great explorer and expeditioner found those adorable penguins up there. And as always she remained cool, calm and collected while all else around her devoured.

This is just a tremendous job with the contest. I also have the greatest admiration and respect for Phyllis so I'm digging reading all the entries.

You nailed it. Well played sir!

Gloria

Stewartstein's Monsters, indeed that's a very imaginary story, I enjoyed reading it. Good luck at the contest, God bless you, Lakeport,

Wow! Thanks so much for the sweet notes, Dean. I'm touched. And a little tetched too. LOL! UNDEAD penguins? ZOMBIES! LOL! I never woudl have guessed zombies. Loved it. I can just picture penguin zombies waddling up out of that hole! See what you've done to my brain?!?!

Great picture. Did you find it like that? Or did you add the creepy blood and zombie look?

The zombie pics? I've had them for awhile. I just never had an opportunity to use them until now.

    Thanks for your thoughtful comments.

This is a great write in terms of humor. The personification of Phyllis was extraordinary. As well as the introduction image, which sat the scene for the rest, you had good control of the dialogue.
Good imagery and a sold thesis.
Good luck in the competition. This should do well.
Best wishes,
RGstar.

This is absolutely brilliant. It has all the hallmark traits of a writer we know as DK.

Your rhyme is superb and your phrasing truly unique. When it comes to poetry, or writing in general in this genre you are indeed supremely blessed. I haven't read any work on Fan Story that is more publishable than yours. Mine excepted, of course!!!!
