Ess gets very intense. Like being friends with a stick of dynamite. LOL! Oz is afraid of her, I think.
"Unusual for a politician," LOL. These are the kinds of things I love about your work.
"Well, better her than me, though I did wonder OF the old girl..." IF.
Good! Whitmarsh has lit a fire under Oz. Sounds like there are going to be a few ass-kickings in the next chapter. Fun stuff, snod! Funny!

I really rather enjoyed this. Enough so that I'm going to go back to the beginning and see what I missed. Your dialogue is awesome, perfection, absolutely none of it felt forced or out of character.
My only qualm -- and it's a little one -- is that the first big blurb from Whitmarsh would fare better broken into two paragraphs with perhaps a hint to his tone?
Ess, I can read hers perfectly, but Whitmarsh sounded like a recording, if that makes sense?

Thanks. Whitmarsh is an oily creep with little character or imagination, but perhaps that means I have to work harder at his dialogue. I'll let this simmer for a couple of days and see what I think. Thanks for your review. Glad you liked it
