Sometimes it's a blessing to lose someone dear, even though we cannot understand it at the time. I guess God in his wisdom knows. For those left behind in these scary times, we will face trials we've not faced before. I'm sure your pastor was pleased with your poem. Well written with good rhyming.

I want you to know that this rarely happens to me...but I got chills, not once, but twice, reading this. How beautifully and powerfully you presented our doubts and fears, and the incredible answer to them that God declares. I believe every word you penned, and every day I become more sure that one day, 'Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord'. Your pastor's right, and you just proved it. What a gift you've been given, Dean. Thank you for this.
PS Did you mean, ..'a light shone round about the place?' You wrote "line", but maybe you intended to. :) Valerie

You captured the end of days and the return of our Savior in a stirring, sad poem of loss and a joy when He returns.
Excellent imagery. I felt the father's anguish, feel the joy when graves are opened and spirit is reunited with body.

Thanks Dean for a wonderful wite. The subject of the Rapture is an excitement for me and I long for that day, But I know people who do not yet know the Lord and I wish to see them saved. Blessings my brother in Christ, Patricia

Awesome poem, Dean. Very creative wording, very dramatic! Yes, we need to bear in mind that Death has been defeated, no longer has a sting! No one wants to die, not even many devout Christians. That's Satan trying to get in some last punches...Fear's part of the natural man, we know...

An interesting interpretation of what the Rapture will look like. I believe that it will occur on God's timetable like every thing else in the universe. i am focused on being as obedient as i can to His laws stated in the Bible and to living daily the fruits of the Spirit. I just want to be with Him , i don't care How I get there. thanks for sharing.
