Horror seems to have overtaken you, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. You do send shivers and chills up the reader's spine. This poem shows how you operate. Words that suggest fiends hiding in the darkness. Oh, yes, that's just your mind, but it's a scary place! Excellent AABB rhyme in this and it flows fiendishly well. Great work. It really explains your passion, and that's what you should write about. Just let me leave the light on. judi

Amazing Dean it was a great combination of your fears of nefarious and unholy things combined with your love of scaring people with all of the strange and yet very creative concepts that come out of your mind. The rhythm and the rhyme were excellent . Great job.

Our poet paints a dreadful picture but leads us on a fascinating journey, not into the arrogant mind but to the shadow behind it. There resides all that is monstrous and inferior about us. I know little about the genre of horror but I feel sure there is the light of reconciliation at the end of the dark tunnel. Life must be positive, it is all we have. Being a "whore" or horror writer is not easy.
It leaves you with many sleepless nights.
Even though your body might not leave your bed,
your soul is free to wander to where ever there is dread.
Just make sure it's your soul that returns instead,
rather than some ghastly, lost spirit of the undead.

I love a good horror story. Perhaps you could do one from that poor little alien's POV. He really looks like he wants out of there. How did he get into such an awful mess? Looking at that picture I feel more sorry for him than creeped out.

And you do scare the bejesus out of me! You are a wonderful horror story/poem writer. You could write a best selling novel Dean.
