"Ess RISES a head of steam." RISES? vs. RAISES?
"Ess is trying to find a missing woman, Daisy, but IN WAS ENCHANTED...." something missing or extra here.
"Sandals were not going to be up to the job when she started kicking arse." Ha ha ha! She's a riot!
Oh, so witchy! You would surround yourself with tough, witchy women if you could, wouldn't you, snod? LOL! It's evident you'd be cheering for their side. Nice! I'm having fun with your story. Next!

There's a comment there about my marriage, but I'm too cowardly to make it. Thanks for the review

Poor darling! It can't be that she's beating you. Maybe that's the problem, uh? LOL! Don't worry. I don't take anything you say seriously.

Yeah, I can tell you, it is hard to kick ass in sandals :) Snodlander, this is another fine crafted chapter that has everything to make it an interesting read. I spotted no obvious errors.
Have a great day.
Christelle.

You're very kind, thanks, though I suspect Ess is the sort of woman that can give a right kicking in barefeet if she were sufficiently motivated

So Ess is going to go it alone. No help from Dorothy or from her honey.
I like your characters, Snodlander. There's whimsy with them, but also a groundbase of reality. She's afraid he'll mount his white steed and follow after her.
Like this chapter.

Thank you. Yes, sometimes a woman's got to do what a woman's got to do. Glad you liked it
