Good morning dearest Kay

WOW! Seems everyone is puting their best foot forward this morning. This is the third exceptional poem I've read to great my day. A wonderful them ... we all need reminders of the triumphs against cruelty and adversity and no better example could you have chosen. Always amazing the power and strength which bursts like a daisy in a cement jungle.

Great descriptive phrases and use of enjambment, strong assonance and consonance.

Your rhyme scheme is very good and the love of one for his art/craft/instrument and fellow man is evident in every phrase. When I think love poem, I think of lovers, you have turned this phrase into another kind of love we sometimes forget about. An exceptional man and an exceptional write. I wish you the best for the contest dear Aussie ... you've done yourself proud. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

Your words hit the heart and the reader feels for these prisoners who suffered this way. Your words also show the power of music and how important it is. This is an excellent entry for the contest.

I honestly don't know how those Nazi's can look themselves in the mirror, I hope they all ended up in hell. And they are still there, more Germans are joining that disgusting group. Makes me so angry. This is a wonderful contest entry, Kay, I wish you the very best of luck. xsx sandra

Thank you for using your talent to remind us. Seems his love and talent even slowed evil. Is there not a lesson for us today? Could I share this one on my Facebook page?

Hello Jeanie with the light brown hair - maybe it is silver now? Of course you can share it, I don't use Facebook myself. Blessings, Kay XX

Hi Kay,
This is a different and refreshing take on the Love Poem contest. What a beautiful, though sad, story. Well told. Good luck in the contest!

The Nazis listened to (as?) Wagner played

Thanks so much for reading my friend, I will adjust the poem - it hasn't been posted yet. Do you get paid to read it? Love, Kay.

I never look to see how much anything pays, Kay; I just review. I know that's not the "norm" on FS, but that's the way I do it.
    Love and hugs,

A well written poignant work, dedicated to a man who may or may not have existed, Kay. But it is a great story, and deserves to be scripted and posted! Your poem is articulate, smooth meter with nice abab rhyme, two great supportive scriptures, John 15:13, and 2nd Corinthians 12:9-11, faith is dependant upon these things, well composed Kay, well done, blessings, Roy.

G'day Roy, Love comes in many forms and his sacrifice was unconditional love. He was a real person and I can't remember his name. Bless you my friend. Kay XX

I really liked this one. I love poetry in quatrain form that has the ABAB style, which is hard to put together well, and I think the author did a very good job at doing this. The theme is also powerful, Wagner, the musician in the Nazi era, being abused and spat upon, and only wishing to give his love of music to people and live his life. Six stars!
