Perfect in every way, in every word. You made me laugh, you made me misty-eyed. You made me think. Every year so many people stress themselves out trying to find the perfect gift. It's always magical when we figure it out.

This would make a great Hallmark Christmas Movie.

Good luck with the contest.

Thanks so very much for the stars and your kind words. Interesting that this story took a few hours to write, but probably close to thirty hours to edit. Just when I thought it was set to go, something else seemed to need work. Serves me right for penning a three thousand word essay.

Great job with your Christmas story about Twelve Days of Magic. I can so relate to the pressure of buying presents for some people. I like the clever idea that Debbie and her brother devised. And to watch it unfold and see the mother's reactions was priceless. Great message for the holiday season. 8-)

When a person is hard to buy for, give them an experience or time you can share. Thanks for the read.

OMG. Ypi made me cry and laugh with this one. What a stunning and superb story. I wish I had that type of imagination. Absolutely marvelous. It deserves 10 stars but you know, we can only give 6. YOu are most definitely the best writer on this sight. I always look forward to your posts and you outdid yourself with this one. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Oops, best of luck in the contest. If this doesn't win...that's proof the contests are rigged!!

Well, it's site sponsored, and as I've said in the past, FS doesn't like me very much. This was actually done and I thought it was an awesome gift, just threw in some characters and dialogue. Thanks so much for the glitter.

It is still an awesome story and you darn well better win...or I'll put in a complaint!

Christmas is my favorite time of year, despite a few bumps in the road over the years. This story simply warms my heart - how incredibly touching - I was in tears (again!) by the end of it, and missing my mother (and the wonderful Christmas's of my childhood). You write with clarity and heart, your narrative voice so strong and distinctive, your descriptions so rich, especially when it comes to the humanity of your characters! I am enthralled. I'm compelled to read anything you write.

OUTSTANDING!

Love this idea! I also love when Mama's "climbing up on her soapbox". That one phrase tells us all about Mama and who she is. Excellent. And I felt the laughter between brother and sister. What a fun 12 days they had!
My only suggestion is that you let the reader know that Mama hasn't always been such a grouch. We should know that her attitude changed over the last couple of years. It's a happy ending, but a little unexpected. (even though the brother explains it).
Very nice.

I will thoughts into consideration. I do have to question whether this is the sole reason you awarded me a four star review? There are more than 30 hours of editing involved in this story after the writing and presenting a very unique plot.

Of course, you are entitled to award ant rating at all, but a four star response is considered barely above average writing.

Wow! What an imagination you have. I really thought it was so cute and funny, but I kind of felt sorry for the mother. Thinking her son was trying to tell her, he was gay.

This was very well written, and with a big heart as well. This is really too cute for words. Best wishes in the contest. You go girl or whatever the latest saying is.

Lol! I hafta admit I was a bit hesitant about this story when I first started reading it, thought it might be another one that droned on.. and possibly had no good conclusion. But it had me laughing all along with Deborah and her brother as soon as she had her marvelous idea! Loved how it had such a good conclusion, the characters figured out what was actually wrong and came up with a solution, and I bout died laughin as they carried it out! And it definitely carries the true Christmas Spirit! Good Goin! :)
