Love the artwork my twisted friend! This is another brilliantly crafted piece you have delivered and I find you to be widely known throughout this community.
The last flash fiction contest I entered with "The savage stranger" received a ton of great reviews. Most of them directing me to their very own resident Horror master Dean Kuch. With this I replied yours was the first piece I read and have been a fan there since. I aspire to be noticed as a published Author and this dream is closer than I think, I hope. God bless my friend and continue being you.

    I believe I read that story, Steve, and it was very good, as I recall. I'm no master, far from it. But I do give it my all whenever I write something, and my all is all I have to give. :}

    Thanks so much again, Steve. Much obliged.

    Same here Dean, my writing is by far less than satisfactory when it comes to proper techniques. I was told this is what an editor is for LOL! I am growing in this department, I have also been told I tell a story very well I just need to edit, edit, edit. God bless!

We talked about that at my last discipleship school class. It's very interesting to look deep within yourself without any masks and try to do that with others. Well said in your poem. You didn't creep me out with your words but do you have to use such gruesome pictures? LOL.

    Hah-ha, well, kinda/sorta, Teresa. But, c'mon, they aren't that bad, are they? You should see a few of my others! (LOL)

    Thanks so much for the R&R, my friend! :}

Yes we are. very interesting, Dean. How many times have you looked at a person and wondered what are their secrets, what are they hiding, what do they know. It takes a special person to get you to take off that mask and expose the truth leaving you vulnerable. And trust that you will not be torn to shreds after being exposed. We wear our masks well.

    Yes, Linda, we certainly do. But we also find out rather quickly how free we feel when, if only for a moment, we let our guard, take our masks off, and trust someone to be sympathetic. That's what friends are for, right?

    Thanks so much fro your excellent review. I do appreciate it! :}

    it is comforting to find that one person that can know all of the dark side. Then again that is what journals are for. and don't open them until I am gone.

    Incredible? Rarely is that word used in relation to anything I've written, GR, LOL. But, I thank you all the more, my friend. I will take "incredible" any day!

    God bless! :}

    It's the truth!
    I'm dealing with severe bronchitis going into pneumonia and it really sucks, almost like the flu. Vomitting and all that good stuff. Congestion, coughing, hard to breathe etc...
    Anyways, I really do appreciate that poem, it spoke to me. Deeply. You are so creative, I even read it to my mom and she really liked it too.
    So congrats, you deserve all the applause!

There is so much truth in the thoughts delivered in this piece of poetic art. The poem flows along its thoughts flawlessly and has an excellent cadence. I liked everything about this poem. It is an outstanding piece of poetic art that deserves this six star rating... John

From time to time, I think we all yearn to take off our masks - and not just at Halloween - and yearn for those we are close to, to do the same. Masks make us lonely. Truth is indeed freeing. ("You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.") You express this very effectively. Best regards, Jeanie

Sorry, but all out of six stars. I agree with you a hundred percent. We all wear masks to hide the truth within us. There is One who knows us through and through. Let us be true to ourselves. Well written, Dean.

    Yep, you sure got that right, Drew. No one but Him knows us better.

    Thanks for the outstanding review. No sixes are evr necessary, my dear friend. I'm just happy you enjoyed it. Oh, but please...no threes, okay (LOL)... :}

This really resonated with me today Dean. I am a spin doctor for sure. I can take a bad situation and tell it so that it is almost acceptable, most of the time. It keeps things moving smoothly for others in my world but in the end, it's not a good thing. It's a coping skill learned in early childhood. Now that I have identified it, I try to take the mask off and just be me....but....then you have to trust that the people you love will accept you as you are. Scary stuff. Thus my motto....God is enough. Thanks for sharing today Dean.

Blessings
Janet

Bingo!

You don't get to our age without wading through -stuff- so we compensate and put on an -acceptable- happy face. I'm so guilty of that. If most of us are honest, I believe it would be a unanimous YES for masking.

Then when you reach my age, you just stop trying to please everyone 'cause ya can't!

Great job with this one.

Cheers & Blessings

A very nice far out presentation! Too many of us are conformist, followers, like sheep or leaves in the wind going with the flow. You make a provocative statement and verse it nicely. I didn't see any typos or any need to revise. Good luck! Jim
