What a lovely tribute to your mother's memory and to the clock that resonates with her memory for you daily. This is the second time this week that someone has mentioned a "mother's voice" to me. The other time was when a friend played a song for me and asked me not to cry. I miss her more often when it gets closer to Thanksgiving. There are numerous reminders of her and Dad in my home.

The Whitney provides a perfect rhythm for a poem about a clock. Most excellent choice of formatting.

Thanks for sharing,
Blessings,
Marsha

Extremely well done. Very sensitive with an intimate portrait of a cherished heirloom. Great imagery: "saint above reflecting love" (deep emotion). Great description: "golden globes that spin around" (picturesque). There is a lyrical quality here that makes for a smooth read. Good use of descriptive language. Your photo is awesome and I enjoyed reading this very much. Thank you!

Very sweet notes, and a lovely object to keep in memory of your sadly departed much loved mother, Treischel. It looks great in that position.

Excellent descriptions of the clock, and its special and lasting meaning to you.

Best wishes, Ray

This unique style is perfect to portray a unique clock. My Aunt Jerri had one similar and I was mesmerized by it as a child. you are so lucky to have something visual and musical to remind you of a loved one.

Very neat and tidy format, Mr. 'T', this Whiney. I must admit, I believe that this was the first time I'd ever seen or read one before now.

The topic you've chosen, about a beloved clock, handed down to you from your mother as a family heirloom, was fabulous, and should resonate well with readers. I like ho you think of her whenever it chimes. I felt that was an especially nice touch.

Great work!

The hourly chime in a lovley musical yune can evoke a lot of peace and harmony as we reflect back on our loved ones.
We can feel them in the air as the clock chime away the hours. We try to find comfort in the nostalgia whne our loved ones are with us.
Even though they are gone now, the chimes from the clock will tell us they are still around us all the time. For in our hearts, they never died by keeping their thoughts alive in us.
Excellent write and well expressed. Well done...the clock did come alive with the lines, smiles.
Cheerio, best, Ritchie. :))

A lovely heirloom. . . and a poem that makes it very clear how very much it means to you. Mother's clock . . .cherished and kept on display. Its hourly chime a reminder of years and years of love.

Nicely done :-)

I always find art globes intriguing and you captured your mother's special, encased clock beautifully. I like the concise Whitney form as your vehicle in triplicate and with the addition of rhyme--you obviously enjoy a challenge! I could hear the chiming sounds sent by your sainted mother. Thanks for sharing the photograph--I recognize the plant too. Well done! -Joan

Your author notes caught my attention as much as your poem. I have stuff in my home that reminds me of my deceased Mom too. Her legacy which I treasure. Well done, Tom.
