Lol I never thought about it that way!!! So my poetry is so amazing that people don't need to review it!! I wish lol. You certainly made me smile Dennis.

consulation - ?
good satiric commentary - I'm reviewing even though you said there is no need to because that's the only way I get your 62 cents - it's my mercenary nature :-)
Many many of those thousands of names are standard members who have not read a post in forever. I wouldn't read too much into not being reviewed by most of them, my friend :-) Brooke

No, I'm not reading that way...my main giggle was that Obama postulates the ability to read the minds of those who haven't expressed themselves...:)Thanks and you are more than welcome for the meager 62 cents since you have done more than your share of 2 centers...LOL Dennis

I took him to mean that not voting is a type of protest from those not happy with the state of affairs of the government on both sides of the aisle and in both branches. I think he was admitting to being chastened by those giving a silent vote of no confidence in the whole kit and caboodle of them.

This is an interesting take on a current event. However, I don't think the President's reaction in any way reflected that he intuitively knew that the majority of the country was with him. Ay least I didn't take it that way. I took it to mean that they were so bummed out with the political processes that they just didn't care anymore. It's interesting how a person's frame of reference and biases can slant an interpretation of simple facts. You see it one way and I see it another. And almost everyone else probably saw it differently than either you or I did.

Thanks Debra, I write some far more serious things as you will see but I enjoy pieces like this as well. Thanks for reading and commenting so nicely! Dennis :)

Not quite sure where to place this, story, editorial or what? Well anyway, got your point...I think. FS does have a mixed bag of writers and that makes for a good time in browsing about for the next great author.
Enjoyed your remarks.

My mixed reviews seem to fall into two camps; those who took it seriously and those who thought it was funny. I was aiming for the latter and attribute the first to my poor communication skills. Thank you for reading and commenting! Dennis

Yeah, Dennis. That's exactly how I feel when I write prose. Poetry? Oh, that's no problem, many people read my poetry. But the stories? E-h-h-h-h-h..., not so much. As a story writer, I might as well be an Albanian Monk ensconced within an ice fortress in the Carpathian Mountains. I get about as much action.

So, believe it or not, I feel your pain and silently support you with my dying breath.

After all, you've done the same for me. It's the least that I can do, LOL...

Well done, Dennis...

I feel your pain too. The first thing I ever put on Fanstory was prose but have given up on that. Short pieces are in and the $/time factor is a large part of that fact. I notice you have a web site...any action there? Thanks for your support...I am amazed at grateful for the extent of same! :) Dennis

    You're very welcome, Dennis.

Yes, my Facebook face is what attracted Samhain Publishing to contact me about a possible book deal. Well that, and my several submissions to them, LOL.

It should be out by late summer of 2015. Thanks for asking!

I not only will review you, I will give you the highest rating I have. LOL. Silence is not necessarily the answer to greatness, but I will say, in light of the elections, that is as good if not the best explanation I have ever heard.
Well written, with just enough 'tongue in cheek' to make me laugh. Thanks for sharing.
:-) Carolyn

You tapped into a lot of people's feelings, I suspect. I too like to try on new writers for size. Mostly, I review because I enjoy the piece- as in this case. Yes, I would have read it for two cents (even though I get the impression you're an Obama fan :-(
Love the way you "reframed" this.

Obama fan? You don't usually miss but on this one you misfired. I'm surprised...don't you catch the mockery? How asinine is it to claim you can hear the 2/3 who didn't vote? and assume they are for you? Thanks for the nice words Lois, but now I see why you don't recognize me when I assume glasses and a suit...:) CK

I love your supreme optimism and I actually think this article Is GOOD so there your ego was spot on.
Very humorous and interesting read. I like the Obama reference and as I find him worth listening too, you get another vote.
Emily.

Thank you Emily, but in all honesty I was mocking Obama for assuming that the 2/3s of the entire voting community who did not express themselves were for him...:) thanks anyway...Dennis
