What cute memories you have shared with us about your daughter Penny. First, the name and address ending with "Amen". Then the spilling of stuff such as perfume and cream of wheat. The "Mama, can I have a piece of toats" was especially heart-warming.

Thank you for the nice review. I am glad you enjoyed the stories about Penny. Tomorrow I will put up stories about Pam my second daughter. And on Friday I will put up stories about my third daughter. When you read all the stories you will find I have 3 different girls. They each have their own personality.

You can take up my time with your stories any day. Very nice biographical anecdotes. You have a nice writing style.

Some things I noticed:
"Penny and was born on Christmas day."
"moms" needs an apostrophe
"Penny sucked her thumb for six months and then she on her own quit sucking her thumb." There is technically nothing wrong with this, it just doesn't seem to flow all that well. Could be just me, though:-)

...we were teaching her to say her, name and address..." needs no comma.

"...and tied to clean it up with a wet towel..."

"I asked her why and she said, she..." also needs no comma

I love the story about the cream of wheat. Oh, that must have been such a mess! A wet towel, no less...

And finally, isn't it a strange commentary on our society when we suspect that well mannered, well behaved children have to be abused to get that way?

Keep on writing!

I know. just when you think you've cleaned up your work to a high gloss, somebody comes along and says, "oh dear, is that a fingerprint? And what about that smudge?"

I always appreciate when people point out the things I miss, and I'm glad you do too.

She has surely made you proud and that speaks well for her parents. What you put in is what you get out . I can tell that your family meant a lot to you and that you were a good mother aching the children good values. Well written and holding the reader's attention

Thanks for the review. Oh, yes my family was and is the most important thing this side of Heaven. My love for my family is only outdone by my love for God and what He means to me.

Hi, Pat,

What a beautiful picture! Is that her hubby?

I can't believe the teacher thought she was abused. Jeesh. Lovely story.

My youngest when he was 6-ish, we were in a food court and all of a sudden he took my hand and said, "I love you, Mom."

Wow! Did I float on air or what? The people around turned their heads and couldn't believe their ears.

Another time he stayed all night at a friends and I received a phone call from the mom. She asked me what I did to raise such a well mannered boy because instead of going out and playing with the boys, he stayed inside and helped her with the dishes!! I told her my boys were raised to respect their elders, AND return a kind deed. If she was good enough to cook a meal, he best show respect in kind.

Tooooo bad respect isn't something that is important as it used to be.

Really enjoyed your story about Penny. Look forward to more.

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax
