What a phenomenal photograph and pairing with your observation recounted in this poem! Your use of the Diatelle form is the perfect visual vehicle as well since it mimics the up and down activity. I admired your rhyme scheme plus echoing sounds and "gown" and "crown" metaphors. Well done! I can only offer a virtual six, my friend. -Joan

A next nice photo with the squirrel more in close-up. A diatelle is a lovely form to use for this. I enjoyed all of it. Thanks for sharing.

Another poem that holds the reader to the image of the squirrels struggle to survive during winter. These lines created that atmosphere:
"When Winter spreads its bitter cold white gown
No need to have a frozen frown"
Well done, Tom.

I like this it is so clever. It requires great discipline to write to a formula as you have done here.

Your poem creates its image superbly. Even without the picture the reader can visualise the story you tell. Great work

This work has reached the exceptional level

You deserve this six star rating just for the form alone.
I can't stand doing poems like this, it's like mentally taxing
work. Beware this year, all those fluffy rodents may be telling you it will be a nasty winter.

I love watching squirrels and my dog loves chasing them. I really enjoyed reading your diatelle style poem. Beautiful imagery. Superb.

Very much enjoy this format - it lends itself beautifully to your offering. Seems to mirror exactly what squirrels do - up and down and back again. Lovely stepping moments of both animal and poem form. Very nicely done. AT=/

The poetry very well complements the movements of this busy squirrel;
Good visual and audio images, as this busy creature goes about his activities in autumn's radiance;
They are always in a hurry--whatever is of great importance is known only to them, we humans just haven't figured it out yet!
A pleasure to read your dedication to these furry runners. They're always running!
