Hello Vance I must say I had so much fun reading your comical poem

I got a big kick out of this part-

SO I'M THROWING OUT A WISH TO YOU THAT SOMEONE HITS THIS CAR
THEN THE INSURANCE MAN WILL BRING A CHECK AND I CAN HIT THE BAR
WE'LL DRINK A TOAST TO YOU, OLD MISTER BRIGHT AND SHINY--

(I take it you mean big ass star)

HI lakeport: Thanks for this very generous six stars and great review. It is a bit out of my normal style but something just hit me and it all rolled out with a bit of off color but I just saw this situation unfold and had to deal with it! I really appreciate your great review dear friend! God Bless you too!vance

Beautiful artwork that complements your rhyming poem ever so well. Somebody in a car could not see through the window. At the end they decide to look at real stars.

Love the speaker's attitude in this fun version of twinkle twinkle...
I really prefer not to read all caps
I like the assonance in joking/broken
good use of enjambment
good touches of alliteration
then well write about - we'll
fantastic ending with it's fan story reference :-) Brooke

Thanks Brooke for your (always) meaningful review and also for not scolding me for going off into "loonie" land a bit. Something just hit me and I could not stop but I'm not often this goofy. Thanks so much! Vance

I enjoyed this and had a laugh Vance, great colloquial language liberally sprayed with a huge amount of humour, I laughed at this, there are a few folk I recognise in this well written and very amusing anecdote, not the least the old me! well done, great work, blessings, Roy.

Thanks so much Roy and I've been a bit worried that stepping out of my typical poetic style might be seen as having a few too many beers...but not the case...just some crazy thoughts overcame me and ... well you know what happens then! Blessings dear friend! Vance

Terry: thanks so much for the great six stars and letting me get by with a really 'OUT THERE" story that I could not stop. A bit of humor just seemed to be like a needed aspirin or glass of wine so not the normal me but glad you enjoyed it. Bless you! Vance

LOL. When you're at the bottom, there's nowhere to go, but up. Wishing to get hit to collect the insurance money definitely sounds like a poor man's dream. The rhyming is quite natural, but was a little hard to read with it all being capital letters. Like how you tie all this to the good luck they had and posting it on Fanstory. Very clever and unique. Les

An absolutely nutty vision, and I loved it! Love the hiding the money under the rug, especially! WHERE do you get your ideas??? My favorite line...the first...probably because it's such a shocker, ha ha!

LOL, this was indeed a very hilarious and fun poem to read. Sometimes we need to break from our serious writes and write something just for fun. Great job.

Hi Cajungirl: thanks so much for your reassurance as this is totally out of the box for me and I just felt nuts and had to write it down. Then after I posted it, I thought "gee" I hope readers know ...as you said...sometime we just need a break! Thanks again: Vance
