Bill, what a lovely review. I am sure you will enjoy my story. I doubt I will ever have it published as I just do not have the physical strength to do so. In 2014 my life story was made into a radio drama for Unshackled. If you google Patricia Lawrence 3325 and Patricia Lawrence 3326 You will find the link to listen to the two parts. Listen in order so the second part is in context. Writing my story for the script writer encouraged me to go ahead and put my story in the form of a book. I have been writing poetry since 1985. The first poem I wrote cane to me while mopping my kitchen floor. I wrote it in about 15 minutes.
    This is that poem..

    FREE TO BE ME

All these years I?ve struggled to be,
What someone else wanted, but not me.
When facing the mirror what I saw,
Was always one who was bound by the law.
Till in my minds eye, I saw Jesus? face,
And truly understood His loving grace.
Now I am free to be all I can be,
A wife, a mother, a friend and even me.
I may not be rich in what the world can give,
But with the love of others I can truly live,
The life that God so lovingly gives me,
To serve my dear Lord, and be all I can be,
    Me!

Thank you for the lovely review, Teri. If you will try to read the rest of my book. I will in a few days be adding an addendum because the book only takes us through 2014 and in the three years since there has been many troubled waters flowing under the bridge of my life.

Thanks Pat, for this wonderful personal testimony and and the humble way you have presented it, it is a pleasure to know people who give all the glory to God for the life's journey they have made! I wish I could say I was quick to learn, in some ways yes, in others no, I enjoyed this short literal and literary trip with you Pat, now I know your name, my friend, happy, prosperous and Spirit led new year to you and yours, blessings, Roy.

Roy, I hope you will bookmark my prologue and read my story.
You can hear my story as a radio drama at the following link

When at the site go to programming archives for OCT 2014, Name Patricia Lawrence. My program #'s 3325 and 3325 so listen to part 1 first. My book is a lot more detailed than the drama.

Congratulations on starting your book. I hope it does well.

I found a few things you'll want to attend to:

a beautifully wrapped box, [Bring up to previous line.]

but yet so many times, ["but" and "yet" serve the same function. Choose one or ther other, but don't use both. Also, you don't need a comma after "times".]

He is promising me that [Paragraph spacing error.]

This should be a good project for you Pat. May you be blessed throughout the endeavor.

Thank you Jay for the helpful review. I am enjoying the stories I have written so far. I am not a trained writer so I appreciate the pointers on things that need correcting. I think I corrected the things you pointed out.

AMEn Sister what a great blessing you have been and will continue to be as you are able. It is a real joy to meet you. I loved the poem and I will have a go at writing a tune for it. Even though I won't be able to hear it real good. Lord Bless my sister,

I enjoyed your uplifting prologue. I am sure you are not alone in your feeling about life. I reckon I am able to identify with the emotions you described.
I have one suggestion to your lovely poem.
You wrote:
He stood beside me and dropped them in
Where shortly before there had only been sin.
Suggest:
He stood beside me and dropped them in,
Shortly before, there was only sin.

Thanks you for the review and for the heads up about the missing comma.
reply by Curly Girly on 05-Nov-2014
It wasn't about a missing comma. I suggested you take out a few words and shorten the sentence so that the rhythm of the rhyme would improve. But you don't have to do my suggestions, it's your work -- you decide.
It was still an enjoyable read.
reply by the author on 05-Nov-2014
I didn't understand what you were saying. I will leave it the way I wrote but with a comma. It does not offend me in any way.

This is quite an inspiration to us all, Pat. And, really like the title, & the poem, He Stood Beside Me..Because of your story, we, also, see promise & hope in our lives...That, too, many here I believe have trodded down a path that has been quite bumpy..Each a different story to tell, & with each, different type of pain(s), consisting of many trials & discomforts to endure..Whether, they reveal it or not...And, too, we all have a beginning & an end here on this earth...And, need all the strength we can get, being life & what it brings, isn't always that easy to cope with, & to live it out the way God intended in man's world isn't the easiest task, at times....And, the haunting memories, that some here have to endure, also, can be quite a challenge.

There is one big reason I wanted to do my story as honestly and openly as possible it to encourage someone who is going through any trial may see they are not alone. There are others who have real severe trials and God has helped them through it, My ministry verses are II Corinthians 1:3-4 It basically says that God comforts us in our trials so we will be able to comfort others who endure the same trials.

Patricia, very well done. God indeed is so good to us.
He keeps pursuing us and loving us. We do have those
trials, but He will see us through. what a wonderful
poem you've written and life indeed is a puzzle.
