Stardust Fell

The poet stands, holding her breath, in awe of the "stardust that fell from heaven ... shimmering 'neath the moonlight."
This leads to thoughts of her "Celtic friend," who is likened to stardust, dancing "life's symphony."
A beautiful tribute to Maureen Napier, Celtic poet, who lies in coma in a Toronto hospital, her three children by her side.
Cheers,
DW

What a beautiful choice of words.. very well written, a magical quality to them.. and a very nice tribute to Maureen. Your respect and admiration for her is quite clear here.

Yes, she certainly will, Idamarty, and her poetry will endure, be read, and live on long after all of us are gone. That's what all writers strive so very hard to accomplish. They want to leave a lasting legacy behind. You, me, and everyone else who writes, wishes for that. Maureen has done that, and in spades. Your touching. beautifully crafted free verse says as much.

this is a beautiful tribute poem to Maureen, idamarty, you did an excellent job writing of the way her writing touches all of us and we offer up prayers for her well being. I check her website every day to find out about her night.

Oh this is so lovely. I just happened to come across it when I posted one of mum's poems. I am going to have this printed at the volunteer desk and read it to her. I'm sure she'll be smiling on the inside.
Thank you so much.

Idamarty: ohhhhh, I could physically feel this, it is so moving. No more perfect could be your words. I think Maureen brings out the best in people. This is six star worthy but I am out. I read this twice and looked for one line/word/phrase which stood out among them all, but, all the words/lines/phrases are perfect. I hope one day she is able to read this poem. livelylinda
