Good Lord...I had to read it quickly and scroll down because I see faces like this as I'm falling asleep - the more disturbed discarnates who like to give me a hard time because they know they can. Your poem is excellent and I wish I had a six for you because I know how difficult these are! All the nuns I knew going to school were neurotic as hell...

You too? See, and people think I'm completely nuts for believing that nuns are creepy! I knew I wasn't alone, LOL...
Thanks so much for the excellent comments, flamingstar. Much obliged! :}

Thanks so much, Luff, and I know they mean well. But they still give me the heebie-jeebies, LOL.
I really appreciate you comments, my friend. :}

Thankfully, all Nuns don't look like the one you've got pictured here. Only the "MIND" knows what you'll come up with next. Great entry in the contest, Buck

Thanks, Buck, and thankfully, none of them I knew looked like this either! If they had, I would've been traumatized for life.
I really appreciate your review. :}

It is a good poem and at the end reminds me of jeepers creepers. It is also closely related to the poem in the movie dead silence. "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw,she had no children only dolls and if you see her in your dreams make sure you never ever scream."

Thanks. I'd forgotten about the poem in that movie, INity. I suppose it might have inspired me somewhat, although only the beginning is similar.
There are actually two different versions of the "Mary Shaw" poem. In the movie the poem goes, "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children only dolls. And if you see her in your dreams, do not ever, ever scream." On the trailer it was, "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. And if you see her do not scream, she'll rip your tongue out at the seam."
The movie was from 2007, so who knows when the poem was written.

Yeah I know, I actually like the one on the trailer better though. Good poem, yours and the movie. Lol

Thanks! :}

Dean, Good job on this one. I really enjoyed reading it. Yeah, nuns. Not high on my hit parade as a kid. They look like large penguins. Have a good one, Judy

Yikes! The whole package was scary and gruesome. Minute poems aren't easy to write. You did an excellent job with this. The poetry form actually contributed to the message. But, oh the song!!! Best of luck in the contest. Sue

Very well written.
Looks very cool.
Imagination gone wild. Simply wild.
Imagery is right on.
Photo...well, says it all, and then some!
I have at least one friend who also has the same sentiments as you concerning nuns. That friend is also a guy!
Must be something about the clothes...probably just too many layers. :)
Have a restful evening.

Hah, maybe, Razz...maybe. Or, it could be that boys are always far more trouble in school, and get their knuckles cracked more often. Whatever it is, the give me the heebie-jeebies, but I know they mean well.
Thanks very much for the review.

Yes! That's is more likely.
heebie-jeebies. Yes, those things are terrible.
You're welcome.

This is fantastic. Perfect form of a minute poem. I love the look of how you present your poem. Very interesting and it adds to your creepiness of your poem. And the picture. WOW! I don't know where that came from, but it's perfect.
Great job and good luck with the contest.

Thanks a bunch, Angie, and that particular picture was drawn by yours truly. I've always loved the melding of horror and art, along with music, together. And I tried to deliver the total package here.
I sincerely appreciate your kind comments and review.
Have a super week!~Dean

The accompanying sounds scared me more
than the poem. I still have the shivers!!!
I went all through school taught by nuns - they were only scary if you
mis-behaved. I was sent to the hall a few times but mostly I liked them.
(lol)
Great rhyming and imagery, Dean.

Ha-ha, yeah, I know they mean well, Nancy. And boys always get into a lot more Tomfoolery than the girls do.
I really appreciate your thoughtful and encouraging review. :)
