This is fantastic, my friend.
You sure do have a knack.
So brutally true.
So right on point.
Scripture is right on too.
There are many in the rock and roll world who have sold their souls to that filthy deceiver.
It is no secret any more. They even brag about it.
It is obvious in most of their music. Most people would be shocked if they knew who some of their "heroes" were.
Great writing, my friend.

You're right about that, Razz, but I fear that most wouldn't be all that shocked, nor would they care all too much. Such is the state of the world in which we're living today.
Thanks for the exceptional rating and review, my friend. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

You're welcome, Dean, well deserved.
Probably right again, my friend.
Have a restful evening.

Each stanza is engaged in a dance of half truths, secrets and weakness for the glory of fame, fortune and all things glittery.
The rhymes have a dark musical drum beat to them. The soundtrack of the person who signs the contract and shakes hands with the devil.

Great poem Dean, nice rhyme and flow to these verses.I will never look on those that seem to have it all in quite the same way after reading this. Love the end verse, gave me a chuckle.

Hi, Dean Good job as usual, my friend. I love the handshake at the end and these lines:
"'ll simply plead the fifth, you see,
and write without delay;
All I can say is turn away,
if next he comes your way!"
(So anxious to see the book cover...LOL...Blessings, Dean. Bob

Thanks so much, Bob, and I'm working on it. Still have to do some fine-tuning and tweaking. I want it to be per-r-r-f-e-c-t. You know as well as anyone how I am about that, LOL.
Thanks for the exceptional rating and review, Bob. I'm really glad you liked it! :}

I am so tickled and elated that you are doing this, Dean. Be assured you will have credit fzor it in the book. I know it goes without saying, but remeber, this is a detective novel...not a horror book...LOL (Just kidding of course) Bob

Ha ha, I remember, Bob, and no credit needed, my dear friend. After all, that's what friends are for, right?
Thanks so much again. :}

Eternity is forever. Temptation appears in many forms, some more subtle than others. Self will in the face of temptation usually looses one his footing. I am guessing he signed. Love the art work, especially the handshake.

Ah Dean, You really have a way of getting a message across to those who may not read God's word any other way. Great presentation and artwork to seal the deal (so to speak).
Well done - I think your mission is clear.
Blessings

Hi. Ah ya, he is a crafty Devil. We must watch our step, and be aware.
I figure no matter what one believes in, there is always a point of decision...and well, at some point no turning back...

Egads, Dean. This is totally chilling writing. And that picture at the end is awesomely appropriate. For a little peace, I'd bet many a soul succumbs to the devil. Great job, as always.

This is yet another macabre and brooding tale that the author has created with this piece of work. There is a hint of humour in it too and I like that. Well done yet again.

this is an excellent write, dean, the warning not to trust the devil when he comes for a visit. it's best to turn your back on him, for when we are armed with the armor of God, God has our back.
