Dirt Road with rain or melting snow leads to that stuck at home feeling. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Back in those days there was no such thing as the present. [This sentence is awkward. You mean no such thing as the present (time)? I don't think so.

Definitely sounds like Divine Intervention. God came in a Land Rover!

Okay, I'm gonna say it again: What do you have against dialogue? I can't imagine a more emotional time than when you were with your father. And the only thing I know about him is he has a girl friend and gave you some ginger beer.

Didn't you talk with him? Weren't there some tense moments?

Yours is an autobiography. Whether you choose to share it with your reading public or not, is up to you, but you owe it to yourself to record your dialogue with your father.

Phew! Sorry about that, but I feel strongly about that.

Hey mate I know you are right and I will think real hard about all this. I was a loner and maybe even very quiet a lot of the time. I did not have that male role model at home to learn from. Even the rare time I had with Dad...and there was not the every second weekend access visits in those days. If you remember he threatened my Mother if she took him to court to get maintenance. I think he gave me sips of his beer when I was very little and I know he called me Cocko but apart from that we did not talk much. I will seriously give it some though ok! I would like to add some dialogue too but I don't weant to pretend something that never happened ok.

Sankey, this is another solid installment that builds on the previous write and has humor to add interest to the story. Well done. :0 GracieAnn
