Mother nature says it is time for a change and she takes her work to heart bringing in the autumn leaves which tell us summer has gone and it will soon be winter. She gives us fair warning to start to prepare if we just pay attention to her and listen well.

Hi debi - I don't think I have ever given a 6 for a nonet but this double is just beautiful. Your first describes September as it is. Your second is very poetic with good use of metaphor and personification of birds and trees. Very well done with a lovely appropriate picture. Warm regards Dorothy xx

I simply LOVE nonets. They are so much fun to create. I've done a few and added extra elements to them like making them acrostic.
You've done a mostly great job with this one. A few things stood out.
"ready or not" is four syllables and you need three syllables for that line.
Some folks might point out "tem-per-a-ture" but personally...I also say it in three syllables myself!

Thank you for pointing out the syllable count on that line. I can't believe I missed that. It proves that a new set of eyes never hurt when doing editing. I changed the line to wardrobe swapped instead of ready or not but left the word temperature. Thank you, Marsha! I truly appreciate it. Debi

Yes, ready or not the Autumn is upon us. I love to drive through the mountains in October and see all the gold and red popping out. Everything is so beautiful. I think it is my favorite time of year.
