OMG! Where that mind of yours goes! Not the kind of revenge I might have imagined ... more a bbq on the spit (slow roasted) ... though let's not argue recipes .... perhaps we could co-write a revenge cookbook?? lol Not for my dad though ... he was a gentle lovely man.
One nit - second line - typo - "...his evening's din(n)er ..".
You have me laughing at the horror of your revenge, yet not at the actuality of child abuse.
I was expecting to drivel and drool over the entries in this contest .... I haven't even come to a chocolate story yet .. though jannypan's grandma's white cake looks good .... and her lemon meringue pie. Though I'm partial to pate and brains, usually lamb or veal and goose livers .... I'm open to new foods .. I do want to swipe my finger through that green icing.
I see no need to wish you good luck as you've already WON it .... I wanted to vote on this one .... I was distracted with a house guest for a few hours ... damn. Well he's slow roasting in the oven .... I've already made the crackling .. accompanied by some delicious apple sauce.

Well that was certainly strange. I kept thinking of The Silence of the Lamb as read this.

This is funny, Mr. Hannibal...I mean mystery writer. I have a few Ex-wives I would cook up, but they would be far to bitter to eat. Seriously, I like this piece, "grow like a black cancer on my soul" is brilliant. Good luck in the contest.

I'm glad dinner was well behind me before I read this. I'm not sure I could have faced a meal after reading it! The final image is beautifully revolting.
Minor spag: "I'm hoping this evening's (diner)". I suspect this should be 'dinner'.
Burgundy with pate? I might suggest something lighter -- a merlot blanc, perhaps. LOL
