Oh yes, every fall there are loads of crazy photos to choose from. I am a fan of the acrostic form of poetry and you did a great job of describing football fever without making the message feel forced. Nice job.

I am not a fanatical fan either.....in fact I yell don't hurt them don't hurt them...which makes my husband mad...my daughters husband is fanatical...and his whole family....yikes...love this acrostic

I me not have a football fever but probably just a mild sensitive warmth in my head. I enjoy watching my team the Syracuse Orangemen.
I enjoying reading your acrostic poems very much for it that time of season where everything gets underway for the football time of year.
Your acrostic poems were very imaginative and also very descriptive and expressive where your imagery is concerned.
This is where your descriptive portrayal of a football fan really is imaginative: "Oval shaped object tossed through the air/Tailgating mania is quite the affair."

I'll admit, boxergirl, I've got the fever. Unfortunately, i can't booze it up, my medications won't allow it. Well, unless I want to drop dead, of course. Death by brewski. that would be different, huh?

I don't watch anything anymore except Arena Football, high school and college football. The NFL and it's overpriced super stars and ticket prices can go take a giant leap off the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned. i wouldn't miss the Cincinnati Bungles one bit.

See, now I wasn't aware of that. I imagine they'll all go to a volunteer squad, much like our beloved Bungles have, eventually. Hey, at least they get national exposure, right?

Bravo! This is really good for an acrostic. It actually RHYMES! How refreshing. And the lines are all good and make sense, using the initial letter as they SHOULD be used, in a poem that sounds like a poem and makes sense. You've got my vote locked up!

I'm from the Philly suburbs - Philly is famous for its fanatic fans who have been known to turn nasty on their teams should they not be doing well LOL so your poem resonated with me
