The consequences of our intentions are not always what we had hope for. Our motives for our actions and decisions are sometimes fueled by jealousy, competition, greed, or anger.
Practicing unconditional love is one way to please God. The practice of Gratitude is the key to inviting God completely into your life. Amen

This is the real thing. "What is now the spirit of me
Has become reality" is the binding sentence. I would not start each line with a capital but that is just me. I salute you as a real poet..............Poet Q

Hi. It's been a while since I've read some of your great words. A smooth and thoughtful free verse here. A lot to ponder. It gets the mind going. I love the basic truth of this. You put it perfectly forth with wonderful imagery that stays with me after I read it. Couldn't ask for more. I've been buried. I may sneak buy and see what I've missed in a day or two. Hope you are well, mikey

What is now the spirit of me
Has become reality
For what I have done
With my mind
With my hands
With my words
With my will
With my love
The measure of my faith
And what I must do to inspire
The Gratitude of Life
For every happening there is a reason. Maybe some day you will find out the reason why it happened. You wrote a beautiful personal poem, from a warm heart that will fight, to keep living in a new light, Jesus will hold your hand, and lead you to walk through a new path. With your Faith, you will make it. Jesus loves you, and will bess you. Much love Terry xoxo
There are many other mountains which you will climb again to its highest peak, no matter what. xooxox

Interesting bit of what some would call rationalization. Clearly this is a self assessment and when we self assess there are those that conclude we are asking the wrong person.
This one reads like my question should be: Did you really love her or were you in it for the sex?

Hi there Vance.
I like your thinking in this poem. It seems to me that
intentions are mirrored in truth, if done in the light of reality. I also enjoyed the ' I've always believed in the honor of well-meaning, so the bank of my conscience is full of interest.
I did find that Truth is mis-spelled in the title line.
Good job,
Carolyn

This is a beautiful poem using meaningful metaphors; bank interests, mirror. The Gratitude of Life is where we find contentment.
