This wasn't on the news today. How awful. The suicide rate in Hollywood is very high, isn't it?

Nice work, Geoff. You've been doing a lot of poetry lately - I likey!!

Hi!~ I'm new here, less than a day. I saw this and felt compelled to read it. So glad I did!

Oh what a wit he was! Sometimes caustic, sometimes sweet and sometimes, well, it's hard to define!

I think you caught the true essence of his contribution to our entertainment society and to the fans around the world. Yes, he was notorious .. and daring. And he will definitely be missed. You've summed up, quite nicely, how so many of look back on him and the huge void his passing will leave. I can think of no one with his extemporaneous wit, his brilliance on the screen and the pleasure he brought into our lives. Thank you for a wonderful reminder. Nicely done!

How very very sad to hear of the death of Robin Williams. I didn't always like his acting but he was very good, an extremely clever wit and he could be very entertaining. Giddy

This really hurt.
Wish you didn't have to write this tribute because there was so much more for him to contribute.
Depression us nasty disease that I deal with daily and have conquered with talk therapy.
When the darkness comes you bathe it in light.
How I wish Robin had!

Thanks friend I am sorry I had to write this too. I really liked Robin William's style. Methinks his depression may have come from lack of roles or something.

It's a sad thing, when someone who has brought so much laughter into the world, takes his life. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Thanks mate I just got in from the shops and my wife told me. I pinched the news people's photo of him. Seems we were the same age.

What a sad, sad tragedy - suicide! Well, I wonder how people in depression could not be helped out of their killing state of mind, since they cannot help themselves. So, so sad. Good memorial poem.

Thanks Ola I get times of depression too but I guess not a public figure like dear Robin was. Appreciate the review.

Well done. Timely and appropriate. It reads smoothly with a good rhythm to the end. I wish it had a stronger ending. But I think that is only because I am such a Robin Williams Fan.

Hi Rich I am a RW fan myself. people don't understand us do they. My wife is not as much as a fan as I was I find a lot of common ground with dear Robin. I will miss him for sure. Seems we were about the same age too I never realised.

He blew the crowd away when a siren from a passing emergency vehicle outside could be heard and he quipped, there goes my ride. I often wondered if that was a set-up.

My son (who is in the business) tells me that other comedians would pass on taking the mike in open-mike nightclubs if he was in the audience because he often used other comedian's routines. But he was absolutely a master of his craft.

A great comedienne and a pretty good actor. I enjoyed most of his movies. It was very sad to hear of his death and even more sad to hear how. Suicide is never the answer, just leaves more questions for the ones left.
Well done, Buck
