this is very well written, deniz, if I had a six left it would be yours. so many preachers want to be politically correct these days. I would rather be spiritually correct.

There have been plenty edits to the holy books in general. When my mother was sick, I was given a little bible at the hospital. Turns out it was just pslams, which is all that anyone ever really ever needs (according to Jefferson). Nice list. Good work.

Interesting...Psalms is the most quoted book in the New Testament and many a time the Psalms have soothed my pain and given me hope as they point to the hero of Psalm 22, the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is a good lesson for all of us. A nice write from the beginning to the end. Lest, we forget! Thank you for the reminder. The picture is wonderful. I love John 14:6. I do feel better.

Excellent job! Many Christians do 'cut' things from the Bible, which is eternally sad...some are deceived in believing that Jesus meant something else. If they're not cutting it out they're trying to say that the Bible is complicated and that we have to unlock its 'secret meaning'. Baloney and hogwash.

Keep fighting for what's right. God bless.

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Hi Deniz, I always loved this verse, as much as I love Jesus. God send you to FS to keep our faith stronger, you are on a mission here , and God is helping you write what we need to read. Bless you my friend. I loved the picture, He is so beautiful inside out. Hugs Terry xoxo

Thank you for the kind words, my friend. We can grow stronger in God's love and word of truth so that we are able to overcome the past and anticipate a great future with joy. Dennis

Wonderful read .. You have a delightful way to put things in perspective. I'm reading a book call "Total Forgiveness". I thought I was a totally forgiving person until seeing some of the things throughout this book that I was still holding onto. Since I want total forgiveness, I'm working on letting go of some things that are in God's way.
Excellent message Dennis.

Thanks Janet, and God bless you. Please remember that you are totally accepted in the Beloved already because of the blood of Jesus. So you are already forgiven and the path to spiritual growth that you are seeking is possible through the presence of the Spirit and the Scriptures. God bless, Dennis

I think there are whole churches full of people who have nabbed this before you had a chance to post it. We call it "sloppy agape" (did I spell that right?)
Thanks, friend

If this wasn't so true and serious it would be
laughable, but I do appreciate the sarcasm I
hear in your voice.

I once watched a HEE HA men's quartet singing,
and one of men kept singing the wrong words
or note, whatever. So each time he did this
the leader took his book and tore that section
out until he was left with just a little scrap
of blank page and thus he was unable to sing.
Your prose reminded me of this.

Well as Roy and Dale use to sing,
"Happy Trails to You,
Brother Jerry
MARANATHA !!!

Glad you checked in I wanted to share with you my views on Christ returning to Heaven that we spoke of...Here's what I think happened...for what it's worth...Matthew 12:40
"For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

The belly or heart of the earth contains Hell and at that time, the bosom of Abraham, or Paradise, the place where redeemed went after death. Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, ?Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.?

Remember that Jesus told the dying, forgiven thief: Luke 23:43
?Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.?

So Christ died and went to Paradise (AKA bosom of Abraham) and there announced the payment of the sin debt. Then He led them into Heaven as the first born (a position of highest honor) so that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Since Christ did this, all saints who die now are "absent from the body and present with the Lord."

This scenario seems to make the most sense to me as I try not to ignore any scriptures in working this out in my own mind. Naturally, there are a lot more scriptures that bear on this subject but I am merely trying to sketch and not do a whole painting. God bless you brother and I agree that it's very sad how the church seeks to cater to the world and seduce sinners with a watered down Christianity. Blessings, Dennis

What has happened in today's society is that we have been guided to hate each other, not love. There is no tolerance for anyone who does not agree with main stream ideology. If only they weren't so stupid, life is not like that, we need to lead humble, faithful lives, in the service of others to have hope of any salvation. Great satire, but the unsaved still wont get it! Enjoyable read. Faye

Thank you...tis was written more as a response to those within the church who want to only focus on the positives of scripture. Understandable but disastrous over all in my honest opinion.

Thanks again and God bless you, Dennis

This piece could also be done with the ten commandments, boiling it all down to the golden rule. Very clever that your suggestions were put in a numbered list. People love to read lists.
Suggestion:
I think it would read and present better if you moved all of it down UNDER the artwork so the list will be straight and numbers lined up with a straight margin.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I must say I fail to see how this approach could be adapted to the Ten Commandments...or how they could all be boiled down to the golden rule.

It seems that concept would ignore the significance of the cross and the resurrection of Christ. This is important since the Bible tells us that only faith in Christ and His blood sacrifice saves us from the penalty of spiritual death. God bless, Dennis
