I think it's wonderful that you're are this week's biblical story-teller, Brooke!
"Zerubbabel"--I haven't heard of this Old Testament character--I like the concept of incorporating two ancient friends with two friends of today;
Interesting about the ship that didn't sail--sometimes the best friendships remain anchored also.

I laughed when I read that name, I thought it was another one of your wonderful made up names. Then, reading your authors notes, I see it's from the Bible. I have never seen or heard of it. We used to have stories told us when I went to children's Sunday school, a less daunting place for children to learn about Jesus, I loved it. But I never heard this name mentioned or the story.
I enjoyed this story in a poem, it tells children not to be so stubborn and use some give and take or you won't get anywhere in this world. I great way of telling it, Brooke. Good luck in the contest. :) Sandra

Thanks so much, Sandra. Actually, I've never made up any of the names I use other than combining first, middle and last names. And they're almost all Biblical :-) I appreciate your insightful comments :-) Brooke

I love this tell it in a story form poem. I like the theme and the content done with a smooth run. One good lesson to learn in this story though is "can two walk together unless they agree?" Zerubbabel and Tobias though had lofty ideas but could not achieve because they disagreed. Nicely done
