A beautiful tribute to Mr. Cahill. I didn't know him but I read lots of his work. He also read and offered constructive, clinical and helpful reviews on my work.
One minor point on your write. At the end of the first verse, I would have spelled 'Krikey' in the Steve Irwin way. He made 'Crikey' with a C a popular word in the US.

Yeash well it has been around a long time mate. Just running again in tribute seeing it is his birthday tomorrow in USA. The K's were important for me. Glad his widow still has his Facebook page up.

Wonderful tribute to a fellow fan story member. Whenever Mike is he will enjoy this poem for sure. You brought some many sparkling concepts of Mikes's personality. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thanks Iza Mikey are both Christians so I know for sure he is in Heaven today. Not for anything we have done but all that Jesus did on Calvary more than 2000 years ago. Cheers.

Your poem has certainly succeeded in rousing my curiosity and given me a purpose to look for Michael Cahill on the members' list. The picture is an enhancement to the poem. Thanks for sharing.

Hi new friend. Glad you liked it. I got notified it will be his birthday tomorrow in USA. We always get notified a day early of course in Australia. Also glad his widow still has his Facebook account open.

Hi Dolly he was really touched when I wrote this. Such a wonderful fellow and we were so close in age. I recently learned that contrary to before when I thought he was a bit older than me the reverse was actually the case. We both got Drafted or called up for Vietnam in either country but I failed the medical. Can't remember if he actually served either. We were very close even with all the oceans in between. He helped me a lot in FS as well a top supporter.

Good morning to you, Sankey

This poem is so full of bounce and love and laughter.

Mikey would have loved it!

What a feller he was. Such a great loss to anyone who had the good fortune to know him.

Kind regards

trimple

Yes new friend we were really close he and I in age as well and so much of our lives touched the same events in history even though divided by oceans and politics slightly. He was such a help and one of my top supporters here in FS. Will check your stuff out I like to reciprocate on reviews and stuff. I am also getting my wife's Trip Book up again over in Tootsie55 if interested. A lot of folks were disappointed I never said more about the trips in my biography recently completed, but I did not want to steal my wife's "Thunder" as she wrote about them. We are both disabled.

    Hello there, Sankey.

Michael was the salt of the Earth and has left many friends here on the site, utterly devastated. He was a giver of his time to so many here.

    Tootsie's adventures sound delightful :)

My husband is also disabled, although he is a successful artist. We live a very ordinary life and leave the disability issues to carry on regardless as we enjoy life together.

I look forward to reading more, my new shiny, invisible friend :)

    much love

And a very fitting tribute it is, too. I think we're all in shock just now, and it's lovely to read things like this at this sort of time. Cheerful things that keep Mikey in our heads as he was.

I'm sure he was thrilled to see that you wrote this for him. I love how we inspire and learn from each other on here. We're like our own community. You did a great job and this was a fun read.

A very creative, and like the humor presented in your poem, I must admit that got my attention...And have read some of Michael's work. Though it has been awhile, and it probably has improved even more so, if he has been here for a time, and think he has done a remarkable job by seeing his name winning those FS contests, now & then....and don't think his writings do frighten too much... Definitely, one not to read at night is Dean Kuch, who puts out mostly horror and making it for a restless night, for some here, as with the animation it can make it seem so real...Though, very much like the diversity FS offers.,. and that is why we all get along (ha, ha)... being. we are all different types of writers at all levels/ages/from different countries...and this place is quite structured..and it was a very clever move on Tom's part to start all this. And can't believe now all the contests that are offered compared to when I first started here.

Thanks for sharing...Caressa_08

Hi Sis thought you would come along eventually. I don't think we knew each other when I first wrote this. Old MIkey has been my Mentor since I joined FS over 3 years ago. Did I share Dean Kuch's Siggy he made me ages ago? Not allowed to use on reviews sadly.

Thanks, friend. pretty sure we met before. I had to get this out for another airing for newer FS friends. Can't get any more awards on it hehe. I was reminded of this in talking to another FS'er recently. Cheers, sharing Dean Kuch's lovely siggy he made for me a while ago. Not allowed to use on Reviews hehe.

And a deucedly ugly thing it is to be sure! Mr Cahill's profile that is, not your delightfully humerous poem. Haddock now. Yes still popular in the UK but getting more expensive by the minute. Smoked haddock with spinach and a poached egg was one of my favourites in the days when fish was a cheap option.
