A man created from the many parts of others is a ghastly thought. I never liked Frankenstein. Well done with this gruesome tale, Buck

Thank you very much for your thoughts and review, Tybuck. Yes, Man playing God never bodes well for mankind. It usually only serves to make things worse.

Thanks again, my friend, and have yourself a pleasant week!

Love the ultra-gory artwork, Deano - I bow to the master of horror. :-)

A bit long for me, but your spooky words held my attention. They make Frankenstein sound like a Saint, compared. LOL.

Terrific word choices to suit the macabre.

As I pretend to be a poet, I must warn you I don't have a 'brain', so don't waste your time considering mine for your experiments. LOL

Oh well, at least there's a 'happy' ending as the creation is encouraged to kill the creator.

I was going to rate as a very strong '5' due to the lack of meter, but as an overall entertainment package, it's well worth my sixer.

Cheers, my very talented weirdo (in the nicest way) friend LOL

Ray xx

Heh, yes, me and my erratic meter, whatever am I to do? I did work very hard on getting this one right, and as always, and since it is for the Share a Story in a Poem Contest, any suggestions you have for me to help shore up the meter would be greeted with an open heart, and an open mind, my friend. I'm always unable to see what others seem to see so well --true poets, like yourself, I mean. Me? I'm just an old horror hack trying to be a great poet, LOL.

Thanks so much for the exceptional rating and wonderful review, Ray. Coming from you, that truly means a lot to me.

Thanks for your very gracious and welcome reply, Dean.

It would take me an age to point out all the meter glitches, but if you like. please PM me, and I'll have a try.

Blimey - I wish it were a SINGLE quatrain, then I could pretend I'm a smart-arse in no time at all. LOL.

    Happy Sunday, Ray xx

Ha ha, okay, Ray. I will do that, if it is no bother. It's really that bad, huh?

    Oh, have mercy! :}

    LOL, Dean.

As I honestly said, it's brilliant entertainment! That's what counts!

Who needs perfect meter if it bores the pants off the reader?

You have a wonderful gift - and I mean that.

Thank, Ray, and I am flattered you feel that way.

I've often wondered, where Poe is concerned, (as I am a big study and fan of his work), what would reviewers today think of many of his poetry's erratic meter? It is a conundrum that baffles me...

I've read virtually nothing in my life, Dean, apart from on FS.

I've obviously heard of Poe, but don't recall reading any of his stuff.

My writing and opinions come mostly from the heart, though I must admit I've learned a lot about meter since joining FS - I'd never even heard of it before.

Of course you ar getting a six. This was as frightening as the origiinal. I loved the increasing madnes of the master and the understanding of the creature. Great job.

Thanks so much, GWHARGIS, I truly appreciate your very kind comments and exemplary rating of six stars.

I did hold back a bit on this a bit, reediting the more gruesome original I had intended to post. I felt it was gruesome enough just as it is.

Thanks again, my dear friend, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
