This is well worth a six. It is a very good story.
Once can always try to recreate what the spirit has done, but a poet's brain, a musician's fingers, and a fine body to not a human being, for without the heart manufactured beauty is just that. Lesson Leaned: The brain does not engage with the influence from the heart and the Spirit of Life within. Try again.

Great. You have a way of telling a story with your poems. This was a unique take on an old tale, and the last line was brilliant. In regards to how this story came about, I had no idea. Interesting stuff. And if I remember correctly, Re-animator was an interesting and entertaining 1980s movie. Very dark, but not on the surface.

Surely this is the winner. I think the scariest movie I ever saw was "The Mommies Ghost" It scared the begiggers out of me and my brother. We went to the theatre at night and we made the bus driver let us off in front of the house instead of on the street corner. He laughed at us for being so frightened. I don't believe I ever went to another horror movie. LOL Great job dean. Nancy

Dean, this is pure horror of the soul - wickedly entertaining as it gnaws on the one bit of redemption nestled in your soul, conscience.
Do I? .. or .. don't I? I really shouldn't, but God shouldn't mind - he has given me the gift to recreate his finest work. Of course, he means for me to do it (said the serpent to Eve)... and I shall.
We can convince ourselves of anything to justify our actions.
This is a stand out piece Dean, a stunner!

If this was in a member originated contest, I would have definitely voted for your extremely well written 'story within a poem' entry. But, back in 1955, when I was about eight, I remember being mesmerized by the 1931 "Frankenstein". Although I thought the "Bride of ..." was better,just my opinion. Those are fond memories of the past. Good luck, my friend.

That was one very gruesome story, Dean! I think man is still trying to play God, they are finding more and more ways to create life and living tissue every day. The first time I watched Frankenstien, I was terrified, I was only a child and it took me ages to sleep with the light on again.
