I may have said this before, but this is your finest piece of work. It is just beautiful. Each stanza is exceptional in its own right. It is a complete story. It is amazing original imagery. And the fact that it is also a-z goes unnoticed because not one word is forced or out of place. Wow!!! NG

Hi! I'm insanely behind in answering these and I know there are several that I have to get to. But, I want you to know I read them and smile and do cartwheels from such praise. I am especially thrilled that you liked this one. I've entered a bunch of contests lately and that means my friends often don't see the pieces that I wish they would get to see. So, I decided not to enter this one cause I was kinda proud of it. Thank you so much for your kind words. Now I have to put ice on these bruises. I guess I'm too old for cartwheels! Hahaha. mikey

This is amazing Mikey. Is it for a contest? actually read the whole piece, caught up in the message without realizing it was ABC until the last lines. I agree. Love without willingness to risk is none existent.

I decided not to put it in a contest. The problem with contests is that none of the people you want to see your work get to see it. They don't send notices on contest entries. I complain about it all the time! So, some of my better things don't really get read. I'm delighted that you liked this. I was happy with it myself. I wanted to write one of these that didn't seem like it was trying to be forced into the format. So, you saying you didn't notice is a big smile generator for me. :))) Thank you very much! mikey
