I can see those thoughts clearly from the child's point of view. It is a very good read, and I can bet the kids are ready to explore the minute they let go of that read as well.

You have really good rhyming. The poem flowed so well that I just sped through it and had to reread to comprehend the words.

Miranda catches it all on camera, even taking back his first library book. He told about the friends he made in the books, lovely.

Geez. All my grandma ever did was admonish me for getting a "D" in handwriting. Where were you when I was a toddler. I KNOW, you were a toddler too! Hahaha! This makes me want to check out a book just to drop it off! mikey

I remember the joys of the library book drop! It was such an important job to put the picture books back in that little slot; a beautiful memory. Fun rhymes and colourful imagery that would appeal to children, and certainly a situation that any book loving child will be able to relate to. Well written, Brooke.

Blessings,

~ J.

Gorgeous picture of Sawyer dropping his book in the slot.

I loved the words written

I bet Sawyer would have enjoyed this book.

Nice collection of verses on the library book drop off and an exciting variety of childrens stories all plopped in the drop. What a big stretch for Sawyer.

His first ever! Sweet! You may not live close by, but you don't miss a thing in his life.
Your poem got me thinking. That would be quite a story, kind of like "Toystory", but the things in the books come to life. The sequels would be unending.
Beautifully done poem with great visuals :)

This is a 'too fun' poem about returning books that children will undoubtedly love (as I do). It's fun to have that image of story characters piled up in the book drop.

I love the great creative imagination of this poem, giving the book drop a personality (and a little indigestion). Nice meter and rhyme of the short-lined stanzas carry the poem along as if in a song. Wow--Sawyer is sure growing up fast! I'll bet he loves this poem.
