As I was reading this beautiful poem, I started laughing. Cybil came to mind...The mind is an amazing structure, capable of creating such evil on the one hand and such reverent beauty on the other. You are truly amazing.

An astounding religious themed poem that carries the themes of sowing and reaping. I marvel at the alluring elocution of alliteration embedded throughout. I blinked when i read - douse the downy dawn. I smiled when I read - fools fondly fondle the leaves of fall. Then a marvelous march of: fluted angels flock, as swallows swoon, and lonely loons. The closong lines equally elegant proclaiming - sown seeds are sacred works of God. Well done!

This is a beautiful spiritual poem - the flow to the words, and to both rhythm and rhyme is perfect - a real treat to find when I just popped in.

However, the style of the last poem I reviewed by you (the name escapes me at the moment, but I remember awarding you a six star review), was the inspiration behind the styles that it is written in.

Thanks so much, Mae, and you're right, I have two very distinctly different muses. When I am in a sour mood, my darker muse comes out and wants to play with me. On the rare days I feel happy and giddy, my playful muse pops in. Here lately, I think they have both been trying to do each other in, one silencing the other forever. We'll see who wins in the end.

I truly appreciate such a wonderful review and generous rating. My pastor loved the poem a lot. he even read it in service today, and everyone stood and applauded. He wouldn't reveal the author (because I politely asked him not to!), but many people kept bothering him about it. he said if the author ever wants to come forward, they would be the first to know.

Thanks so much, Alana, I'm truly flattered that you feel that way. I just roll with the punches, and I never know on any given day what's going to pop up next. This particular poem I wrote because my pastor asked me to. Otherwise, it may have never been written.

My gosh, seeing such poem from Dean Kuch warms my heart. In my head, I just found a STAR. The author does darkness and light, remarkably.
Yes, we can harvest bountiful, if we let it.
The alliteration is concise.
"dawn. call.lawn;fall.
things,bear,wings,stare.
gates,moon,congregate,loons.

jars,rest,scars,test.

I rarely write religious themed poetry. However, I respect my pastor as both a true man of God and compassionate teacher, and I consider him a friend. So naturally, when he challenged me to write something proclaiming my faith and beliefs,I simply could not refuse.

Definitely a Christian themed poem and so well written and presented.
I pondered this, and found that living our lives in the light of God's teachings gives us the best possible chance of a bountiful harvest, when He calls us home.
